Xaboo Mephaa Mexican Restaurant & Bar

Xaboo Mephaa began, and continues, as a food truck. I was so excited when they opened a brick-and-mortar, so I'd always know where to find them! The food truck is 100% gluten free (which was important to me), but the restaurant has a more extensive menu. You'll see the expected tacos, enchiladas, burritos, etc, but with an authentic Mexican flavor. The business is named for the native people and language of Guerrero. They're are phrases in Mephaa in the designs on each of the tables! The chips on the truck have a special smoky sweet seasoning that you have to request at the restaurant, but it is amazing! Best chips ever, especially with their queso! Every single time I go, I get the house-made horchata, and it just keeps getting better! You can also order batches of tamales during December - I like the red tamales. There are sweet tamales and other desserts, and the restaurant does serve alcohol. Whether for a quick lunch or a celebratory dinner, Xaboo Mephaa is the place to be!

Incredibly fresh and flavorful authentic indigenous Mexican food. Tamales and picaditas (thin savory corn cake, open faced with toppings like a street taco) were outstanding. Service was fast, friendly, and answered all our questions. We are always looking for authentic, high-quality Mexican food and we found it at the Xaboo Mephaa. Gluten free options available.
