What a find for a gluten/dairy free person! I had lots of choice, making the staff aware on booking over the phone and then on arrival they didn't need reminding which was a lovely touch. They were knowledgeable and attentive for intolerances/allergies. I had the celeriac to start (pictured) which hadn't needed to be adapted too much for me (was offered a choice of 2/4 starters) and then the salmon as a main (3/6 mains could be adapted). The GF/DF dessert was also a delicious nut crumble with vegan ice cream. All in all so pleased! My other half enjoyed his blue steak, and Ragu for start. Both of us were left comfortably full - portion sizes were perfect to not feel overly stuffed at the end. The staff were amazing, it was a shame we couldn't give them a tip via our card as it was cash only (I haven't carried cash in years) and they definitely deserved one! The atmosphere felt special and rustic, definitely an evening out to remember.

Y Polyn was a fantastic experience. I have a dairy intolerance and my mother in law has a gluten allergy, they happily updated the menus for us and the were very clear about what we could/couldn’t have. The chef even created a dessert for me, which should honestly just be on the menu it was so delicious! Thank you so much everyone at Y Polyn, what a great night of food and atmosphere!
