Best Baigan Bharta I've ever had! And I've had many. I love that they don't overcook the eggplant, and the eggplant actually still has some semblance of being eggplant. It also isn't overwhelmed by onion, garlic, or spices, so you can actually still taste the eggplant.
Also helpful was the fact that the vegan items on their menu are designated with an asterisk. However, it wasn't as easy to determine which items were gluten-free, and I didn't have 100% confidence that our server knew what vegan and gluten-free meant. Maybe he did, and I'm just being overly cautious? Luckily I felt fine and didn't have any kind of reaction. Anyway, along with the Baigan Bharta, I also had their butternut squash soup, which was silky smooth, savory, and just a little sweet from the butternut squash. Yum!
I'm sure I will be back, if anything just to have that Baigan Bharta again. The restaurant is easy to get to, literally right next to the stairs of the Ditmars N/W train station.
