I really don’t think I’ve ever left a review for a restaurant BUT I knew I had to after eating here with Danielle as our server about a week ago. She was so incredibly kind and helpful throughout our dinner, I hate to be dramatic, but, it felt like (as a college student away from home) I was with family. She was so busy, yet helped guide us through not only the regular menu but the gluten allergy menu as well, listing all her favorites from both while asking us our preferences. She made sure we left with a “get home safe” and re-heating instructions for our leftovers because she said she’d hope someone would do it for her kids when they’re away from her.
The food was great, she helped two of us find gluten free beer (man, I miss beer), AND she even helped us all enjoy our meal the next day when we knew to heat the oven (NOT THE AIRFRYER!) a specific way so that both the regular and gluten free buns from our different meals would heat nicely without getting weirdly dry (like all gf bread does with too much heat). Also, as someone with a gluten allergy, she killed it in communicating with the chefs, because I didn’t get even a little bit glutened… YAY!
I wish I had gotten to speak to Danielle’s manager— or anyone honestly— about what a great server she was because they need to know how freakin LUCKY they are to have her as an employee!!! She remains so deeply kind and human in a job that sometimes makes that hard (if you’ve ever worked food service… you know what I’m talking about lol). In conclusion, and from a poor college girl with dietary restrictions who really enjoyed my fancy night out on the town just a little more because of her, please give this woman a raise and let her know I— and my friends— really appreciated her.
