Not gluten free as they say they are. Their menu has (gf) labels throughout their entrees, we had called ahead of time to ensure our child could eat there. Our daughter is 9 so she cannot have the spicy soups, was hoping she could have some bbq. So when we arrived we were disappointed to see all items she would want to eat despite having (gf) labeled next to each entree, was either marinated in soy sauce,
soy sauce contains gluten, or has wheat as a main ingredient. So when I spoke with the owner in Korean, I asked to see the label of the soy sauce, he refused to show us. That’s a bad sign.. Most restaurants will allow you to read labels and want to reassure their food and practices are safe. This owner was dismissive and annoyed when I informed him with how the food is prepared placing (gf) next to these dishes is misleading. If you have Celiac, this is not the place to dine. The owner was very rude about it and said they cannot also help if things get cross contaminated. So needless to say we left and enjoyed our meal at Bullpan in Stamford, they are excellent and take food needs seriously.
