Yia Yia's Pancake House - North Riverside, IL

Today is Mothers day my husband wanted me to have breakfast in bed I choose YiaYia. I'm severally disappointed. I ordered 4 scramble eggs with cheese 4 chicken sausage blue berry gluten free pancakes and aBelgian waffle apple cinnamon. only received the the Belgian waffle. My husband order a veggie omelet hashbrowns and wheat toast. omelet had no veggie nor did have his toast in the order. tried calling back for the correct order THEY DIDNT ANSWER SUCKIE SERVIES AWE THEY PUT SOMEONE RESBERRY CRPES IN MY ORDER. I WISH I COULD SAY THEY WERE GOOD BUT I DONT EAT CRAPES. AND I WILL BE CALLING BACK AFTER HE SPENT $65.29. PEOPLE CHECK YOUR ORDERS DONT LET TYEM RUSH YOU OUT THE DOOR W/O DOING SO!!!

Been coming here for a long time and I've never had as bad an experience as this one. Loud construction behind a taped up plastic sheet, 5ft from customers eating could've been ignored if the food and service wasn't so bad. Menu pages were stuck together, dirty coffee mugs set up when we were sat, 3 people at the table only 2 waters brought, took over 10 minutes for the waitress to take a drink order, then another 10 before food and the drinks still hadnt arrived. Had to ask twice for more water and beware the drink menu with no prices, the iced tea is a small mason jar for $7 each. There was hair in my pancakes and the potatoes in my skillet were hard enough to chip a tooth. On top of that, according to the manager with zero customer service ability, there are no reasonable accommodations for diet restrictions/allergies unless you pay more. I've never had to pay extra for non pork substitutions as me and my family are allergic. The manager's response being, "don't order meat at all if you can't eat it as it is on the menu. We charge for gluten allergies too or just don't put bread on sandwiches." Which makes exactly zero sense when the children's menu is 5 items long and I'd still have to pay full price to omit the items we physically can't eat. The only reason the food gets a second star is because my sister's sandwich managed to be fine.
