Not suitable for allergy sufferers, no safe gluten-free foods!
I was looking for a restaurant that also offers gluten-free options. On the Juicery website, for example, the FAQ advertises that there are also gluten-free dishes available on site. I even asked there again via WhatsApp beforehand and this was also confirmed to me there. So I went there full of joyful expectations and was unfortunately bitterly disappointed. In itself, it's a good idea to display the allergen list as a QR code at the counter, but the QR code didn't work for me, my friends or the employees, and when I opened it on my cell phone there was only an error. The employee on site assured me that many of the dishes here were gluten-free because this was a vegan restaurant... (well, vegan and gluten-free are a small difference ;)) When I asked where the allergy list was in paper form, the employees were there visibly overwhelmed, nobody knew whether there was one or where it was. After a lot of back and forth and a phone call later, an ancient allergen folder was found in the freezer. There were a few bowls/dishes listed in this folder but they were written in such small letters that I could hardly decipher them with my young and very good eyes (I don't wear glasses). It was also incomplete, some bowls were missing, and the list of ingredients for the sauces and the individual topping ingredients were also missing from the counter, so in the end I didn't know at all whether or what I could have safely eaten there. I always thought restaurants were obliged to be able to show a current, complete allergen list at any time...According to the allergy list, only one dish was gluten-free, although the list of sauces was missing and who wants to eat a dry salad bowl without sauces :( All in all, completely unsuitable whether for people with gluten intolerance, celiac disease or other allergies, because at the counter buffet the individual topping ingredients are arranged right next to each other so that crumbs were mixed together everywhere in the individual bowls (sesame crumbs in the cornflake topping, etc.), so that everything was mixed together anyway and I As an allergy sufferer, none of these toppings would have been safe to eat. It was a shame, this negative experience. In the end, only my non-allergic friends could eat there and I sat next to them, hungry and dissatisfied the allergen list is difficult to understand.
