We had been wanting to try Za Za’s after seeing all of their wonderful reviews on Facebook. To say we were disappointed is an understatement.
We ordered Gluten Free Pizza Fries, a Gluten Free Italian Stallion and an order of wings for pickup. The employees were clueless to start as to which sauces were gluten free for the wings, and didn’t think the mention that it didn’t even matter about the sauces until we got there for pickup, because they no longer carry the gluten free wings! Once we got home we also came to find that they gave us the wrong pizza, as well as all of our food being cold. And not just normal cooled down from the drive home. Ice cold food like we took it out of the fridge from the night before. We get it, things happen. We’ve both been in food service, so we called to explain the situation. The manager was very quick to throw his employee under the bus and blame her for fat fingering the register as an explanation to the wrong pizza, no explanation for it all being cold, also no apologies for anything. The manager offered us an IOU slip for the messed up pizza, when we requested a refund instead and offered to bring everything back (to show it had not been eaten and we weren’t just looking for free food), he did offer a refund but only if we paid we card. We had not, we paid cash. He said he’d have to call the owner and call me back. Of course, do what you gotta do man. When he called back he was very short and said he can’t do anything with cash and the only thing he can do is an iou for the one pizza. Now we’re just out the $40+, have no dinner, and our night ruined. I completely understand that things happen, but your costumer service sucks for this entire fiasco being ZaZa’s doing, not ours. After looking at Google reviews we’ve found we’re definitely not the first or last ones to have this experience. Sadly, or maybe not so sadly, we will not be returning and we won’t be recommending to anyone. If anything we’ll be surely recommending to not dine here.
