Zin - Uncommon California Italian

I enjoyed my Saturday lunch with 3 old friends at Zin yesterday. We were not rushed. Service was terrific. Food was excellent. Had the very flavorful vegetable soup of the day and a gluten free pasta dish which they nailed. I’m not happy giving up gluten but in this instance I wouldn’t have know it was gluten free if I hadn’t ordered it myself. Parking was easy because we were there early but I can see where thAt could be difficult in the evening for dinner.

A very nice place and will try it again. I got the lobster ravioli and I soooo very much wanted to love this dish but something about it was off on the flavor. I was not the only one. A table next to us got it too and said the same thing. Other than that everything else was delicious and worth coming here to check out. I do wish they had more gluten free options for pasta. I have yet to find a place that serves gluten-free raviolis. I really enjoyed the pistachio green apple salad. The tiramisu was really top notch. We ordered a bottle of Moscato which I really enjoyed. It wasn't overly sweet and a really clean finish.
