Norrito salad and shrimp are last meal level good. Lots of gluten free options. Ambiance and service are just ok.

When you first walk into Au Lac, the atmosphere is a combination of fun and sophistication. I absolutely loved the velvet booths and RGB LED soft light above the bar. The owner is incredibly kind, and the staff was very helpful. We were there to check out the back private room as an event space. It is a gorgeous modern 1920s esque room with a full projector screen, and a small stage. They explained they have wrap parties and comedy nights. It fits up to 60 people. We then had lunch in the main dining area. Their living food was incredible! We enjoyed the pesto (subtle and a good way to start the meal), shrimp (interesting and delicious, I see why the shrimp is famous, cabbage slaw was super spicy so fair warning if you're not into spicy but the slaw doest affect the shrimp it just adds to it if you like spicy :)), living soup (exploding with amazing flavors and differing textures, delicious and I loved the bean paste, my husband didn't so yay more for me hehehe I wanna go back just for the beans), Crisps and Dip (I forget the name but it was an incredible starter) and Sticky Rice with Durian and Mango (always wanted to try durian by someone who knows how to prepare it and it is SO GOOD and addicting). Everything we got was gluten free and they really put love into their food, atmosphere, etc and you can tell :). We will be back, many many times! It is in a small square across from the preforming arts center. Parking can be hard so get there early.

Everything is so delicious. We tried more things and wabt to come back. We loved the big sushi roll, that was #1 for us, then from the started macadamia cheese and raw crackers - very healthy and super delicious, then shrimp, which was very close to taste of sea shrimp...then calamari - which is basically fried mushrooms in shape of calamari, the taste is not so authentic but I loved it. Especially for the fact that it's healthy superfood mushrooms in gluten-free crust and this dish is most liked by people who order online on the app Doordarsh, now at this point we are overfilled because these portions are huge. It's definitely worth the price - quality and quantity. I really wanted to try dessert and more of the living foods but I must come another time...we also had a beverage called CBD and gosh it's so delicious smoothie!!! Must try. And last but not least the genmaicha tea, which was delicious too. The service is very friendly and helpful, like really. We forgot our keys on table and the waiter ran outside to give it to us. Thank you :)
