Very, very good brunch with the possibility of getting gluten-free bread. An absolute recommendation!

My girlfriend and I visited the Osterbro eatery on 8 March and certainly would not be going back again. My girlfriend has gluten intolerance and a nut allergy. We don't usually find this to be a problem though given the options on the menu in places and being able to substitute items quite easily. We were also assured this was no problem here as we mentioned the allergies on the way in, and again when we ordered our food. My girlfriend ordered avocado on gluten free bread, something which should be very simple to do. When this came, it was on regular bread, so had to be sent back to be re-done. Once it was brought out again, it was on gluten free bread, though this bread then contained a whole load of nuts. My girlfriend only noticed this as she went to take a mouthful. If she had taken this, we would for sure have spent at least a weekend in hospital, if not likely much worse. Staff didn't seem to realise how severe this issue was that they had caused. The food then had to be taken away again, to then just be served plain avocado. They were reluctant to take away my food for it to be brought out at the same time as hers, something which would be the bare minimum to be expected. When we complained about the food, staff offered 15% off the bill. Not least for only being able to serve half of what was ordered, but again, not recognising the severity of serving someone with a nut allergy fairly large hazelnuts. They brushed this off almost to get us out of the restaurant as soon as possible. We reluctantly paid, but we would not be going back here, and we would advise anyone that also has any sort of allergy to avoid at all costs as they clearly don't have the processes in place for dealing with them.

They have gluten free bread but it is all grain and very heavy and I couldn't finish it The overall food is good 👍🏼
