I waited 10 months after my surgery to write this review. Every day I felt it would get better but it hasn’t. I was impressed by Dr. Finnerty’s bedside manner during my first visit and his ability to walk me through surgical details. However, he never discussed life-long pain and discomfort around neck and muscles post thyroidectomy. Nurses, admins, doctors everyone was nice, prompt, attentive before the surgery but not so much after.
Post-surgery I am still in pain, suffering stiffness, and choking sensation that hasn’t gone away. I called their offices multiple times, they misplaced two CT scans, no one will reach back to see how recovery is going, no follow through. Will never know what went wrong in that small dingy OR and how they can mess up so badly on a surgery with low risk. Team performs multiple surgeries a day, I was the last and long one (7+ hours). When I checked in the day of surgery, I was part of surgical assembly line.
Don’t go by first impression, it’s the last impression that matters.
