Old walkup rowhouses with thin walls create a noisy environment, especially from street sounds and neighboring rooms. Shared spaces and rooms are basic and clean, but the overall atmosphere is quiet at night despite daytime noise. Kitchens are simply equipped, supporting minimal communal use.
