The elevator was out of service, and I had to carry my luggage up and down the fire stairs. To make things worse, the janitor had left many items blocking the way, which made it even harder to reach my room. I have shoulder pain, and after this forced physical effort, it got significantly worse.
I was told it has been an ongoing issue, so the hotel must:
1. Inform guests in advance โ I was told at the reception that the elevator has been broken for a long time and still hasnโt been repaired. This kind of problem should never be a surprise to guests.
2. Offer luggage assistance โ Hire someone to help carry luggage for guests who need it.
3. Provide compensation โ A discount or some form of compensation should be given for such a serious inconvenience.
This is irresponsible. I want my compensation
