Trail runs along the Bonneville Shoreline with spectacular valley views and multiple creek crossings. Path is narrow and mostly flat, suitable for hikers, horse riders, and bikers but not e-bikes. Picnic areas sit among shady scrub oak, creating a natural, wooded atmosphere.

Access to the site is gated from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; overnight camping is not allowed.

There is ample parking at the Fernwood Trailhead, but it can fill up quickly.
