I came in looking to resize my grandmother’s platinum ring, and everyone was helpful and professional. They ended up saving me a lot of money by helping identify my ring size, and let me know that I didn’t need to adjust my ring at all! Although there was a little bit of wiggle room on my finger, I learned that is actually good for when our fingers expand in the heat. And due to my knuckle structure, the ring isn’t in danger of falling off. I wouldn’t have noticed Gold City at first, as it’s tucked between the bustling businesses of 181st street, but once inside I was struck by how clean and pristine this little shop felt. Side note—I came in on a hot sweaty summer day after work, and let’s just say I didn’t look too classy myself. I was still treated with dignity and respect, even though all the employees else looked classy and put together. They have a jeweler on-site on Wednesdays, and they are also able to resize platinum jewelry! I will definitely go back if I need their services again.
