My husband booked this salon for my birthday, and let’s just say it was a whole vibe from the moment I walked in. I usually go to a barber shop in Westchester, so this was a big switch-up. It had been three months since my last cut, and I was long overdue for something fresh. From the start, the experience was just soothing. My hair was washed by someone who was gentle, kind, and present. Exactly what I needed after a packed week of work. And then I met Simon. Low key, I was exhausted. I sat down in his chair, gave him zero direction beyond, “I’m a horticulturist, this is how I roll, surprise me.” I legit dozed off while he worked. But when I woke up and saw what Simon had done? Magic. Pure, effortless magic. He turned my thick, heavy hair into something light, stunning, and full of movement. I felt like a more grounded, brighter version of myself. Simon is an artist one who listens, sees people, and somehow translates energy into shape and flow. Before I leave Italy, I know I’ll be back in his chair.
