Transcending arch monument
5.8 • Memorial
Two stainless steel arcs rise 63 feet, framing a circle of 14 Vermont granite boulders engraved with bronze reliefs that depict key moments in labor history. A beam of light connects the arcs at night, symbolizing energy and unity while the arcs remain apart to represent the unfinished mission of the labor movement. The monument overlooks water with a clear view into Canada, combining symbolic design and historical tribute in an open, contemplative space.
