Adja Hair Braiding

I visited this shop in April 2025 with daughter to get knotless boho braids. I called the day before spoke with the owner Adja but couldn't make it for the time she said. So when the next day, around 10 a.m. The shop was crowded when we arrive. She was put into a chair. Adja asked what style we told her and she told a braider, she got started but seems a bit upset when I told her that was not the length we wanted she got up mumbling something and when to sit in a chair. Ajda came over took the 3 braids out and restarted the process,. Then a lady took over, her name was CeeCee. She did an amazing job along with another lady who assisted her braiding the ends.. Today September 2025 we are back and surprisingly we got CeeCee again hopefully it comes out as good as the first time.

Avoid at all costs. I knew the style I wanted was entirely overpriced but my trip was the next day and I wasn’t getting any responses from any other shops when calling around. The hairstyle came out super cute, don’t get me wrong, but 3 days later and they have to come out. My scalp has been tender to even lay on ever since. I had to repeatedly tell the braider that she was braiding too tight and she never loosened up. I was in so much pain and she did not care. I’ve never had to tell someone braiding my hair so much that it was too tight so now I will be on vacation with my hair not done and $200 shorter because of a waste of a hairstyle. Even if you go with your hair blow dried they will use their janky overheated blow dryer and pull at your hair super hard and when you ask them NOT to braid your edges they will appease you by leaving a tiny bit out and braid the rest. First picture is immediately after (you can see the tightness from there) and the second picture is 2 days later and why they have to come out. Just look at the bruise on my scalp - this has never happened to me before

Worst service ever! $140 for 12 braids and it’s not straight!? I mentioned it three times and all three times it was re done and nothing changed , still crocked! Over priced for nothing! And wanna charge $60 for the curls !? , I should of trusted my gut and not go buy I just had to risk it. Smh. Save yourself the waste and research other shops. This is not the one
