Alright, this is now getting ridiculous, and worthy of a Google review.
First and foremost, if you are thinking about renting here, there are undoubtedly many positives:
- The door staff are truly great, really nice and friendly, it does make all the difference. To be honest all the staff contracted to this building are excellent, and have always been up for a laugh even when things are a bit torrid.
- The amenities are functional and clearly well liked by the community - the gym is never too full but often at least always being used, and the games room is nice and noisy (it’s being used, and that’s great!)
At this point in the review, you might be wondering: “wow this sounds great, why has this place been given only two stars???”:
The elevator situation is absolutely untenable, I really can’t stress enough how awful the management have been about this issue. I feel somewhat bad for the leasing staff, as I’m sure they themselves are not elevator technicians, knowing nothing of their mechanics or how they function, but Jesus wept I dont think there have been all elevators operational since I moved in nearly ten weeks ago (taking the total of three down to two, and then to one…one elevator, for 33 floors of apartments). Rampant apology emails followed by “ah well…they’re broken again!!!”
We all know how much people are paying to live in this building (an already eye-watering amount that I’m sure is enough of a financial burden on most people living here), to see people climbing the stairs to get to their apartments on the 18th-27th floor is nothing short of a disgrace.
This issue will likely not be fixed by the time you read this review (hello by the way), so if you’re coming to view this place please do press your leasing agent about the elevator situation, maybe even stand in the lobby and observe the general queues!
So dumb that I’ve had to create an account to come and write this review, but here we are. Wild stuff!
