After a workout session at this calisthenics gym, the name made so much more sense because i walked outta there feeling strong AF and limitless!
The gym is spacious, with an open floor layout, really high ceilings, graffiti on the walls and music bumping.
I was greeted by Omar and some of the other trainers, everyone was nice and introduced themselves. At first, it’s pretty intimidating considering the guys in there are legit shredded and in tip top shape! Omar and I spoke about what I’m currently capable of and what I want to work on which is doing at least 5 pull ups. I can barely do one right now lol, but after the session with him I felt like I could do it!
We did a drop set count, idk if that’s what it’s supposed to be called but that’s what ima call it, start at 10 and work your way down to 1. That was tough for real; pulls ups (with a band of course), push up (on a bar), squats and knee raises. After the second set of these my body was wobbling but Omar did not let me give up. He was super motivating, stern and calming all at the same time, very good balance. The perfect combo to get me through something hard I’ve never done before.
I was pleasantly surprised by my strength, I did way more than I was anticipating and it felt so good. I’m a yoga gal at heart so this was a great way to challenge my body in a different way. Definitely recommend checking them out, it’s worth it! 💪🏾
