Unfortunately, a disappointing visit
We were actually really looking forward to the evening, as we have two children with celiac disease and the menu lists gluten-free dishes. Unfortunately, the evening turned out to be a huge disappointment.
Instead of the gluten-free pizzas we ordered, we were initially given regular pizzas – and they actually asked if the children wanted to eat them anyway. When everyone else's meal was long over, the proper gluten-free pizzas finally arrived. For children who aren't allowed to eat anything else, this is not only annoying, but also a health risk.
Apart from that, the service was unfortunately very poor. Orders were forgotten or not brought at all. We had to ask several times, and rarely did anyone come to the table on their own. The wait for drinks was unusually long, and paying took almost an hour.
When we were asked to pay €1 at the end to take the pizzas away in boxes, it rounded off the bad impression (even though this is apparently common practice in the region).
Overall, it was an evening full of disappointments – and the discontent at the neighboring tables seemed to be just as intense.
It's all about the food, after all, but even that, unfortunately, wasn't good.
