I have been waiting for a new location closer to me to open in Edinburg, but today, I really was craving beignets and was over in McAllen, so I stopped in. I did not buy anything other than the beignets, but I've heard from family members that PJ'S coffee is very good. I have had beignets at Café DuMond in New Orleans and at Coffee Call in Baton Rouge (both are considered the best), and while these were smaller, they were excellent. I am so happy we finally have a place in the RGV where I can find decent beignets. The restaurant is very nice, with pleasing, beautiful decor, positive vibes, and comfortable places to sit, study, work, or just chill and enjoy friends. Everything was quite clean, orderly, and the service was friendly and prompt. The prices are competitive with similar coffee places. Next time I'll order a coffee too. But since I live in a household whose diet is heart smart, sugar-free, fat-free, and gluten-free, the beignets were a little bit of heaven today.

Good prices, and that makes a huge difference these days. We had always been Costco people before, but we found a special price on Sam's Club and decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did! The place is busy, of course, but as long as you know that and accept it as a fact, then the rest of the experience is fine. Lots of gluten-free options, too. Love, love, love the scan and go option, too!
