The service was very fast but the place was packed so it was a bit chaotic but I guess not a lot can be done about that. The breakfast sandwich on a gluten-free and the Zoe sandwich were fantastic.

Surprisingly reasonably priced coffee drinks (compared to other Eastside cafe spots) and some nice savory foods if you want something before a very sweet treat. My matcha tea latte was bitter and imbalanced, unfortunately. The decor is pretty and feels a bit over the top, but I realize that's probably the point here. There's only one vegan food item - a chocolate cupcake, so it's challenging for anyone with dairy or egg allergies. A good amount of gluten-free items cater well to the GF population, though. Since the cupcakes are rather cloyingly sweet, I miss the old days of when one didn't have to special order so many mini cupcakes to get them in a more reasonable portion size. The hummingbird is a good one, even among all of the many chocolate options!
They made an effort, but between there not being very many vegan options (none of the baked goods are vegan, and the gluten free don't seem separated) and a long wait for less-than-spectacular drinks, it was a disappointment. This would have been a shrug outside of the city, but in a solidly Bellevue location that emphasizes organic coffee, I was a little surprised.
