Huge place with great views. The service was a bit slow, having one register for food orders in a place this size is a bit crazy. But the food was pretty good value and tasted great. The parmie in the pic was a monster and went for about $35, the bbq beef pizza was pretty sweet too and the gluten free pizza base was incredible... probably never had a better gf base. Would come again.
Experience exceptional service and a unique atmosphere, with an impressive menu that keeps everyone happy and even Damascus knives for sale!

Came in for dinner with myself and family after not being for 7 years and got seated perfectly well
Had a young girl serving us for the night has a trainee badge on but said to previous table that she’s been working there since December so 8months
She was serving the table behind us first and was telling them that what they ordered was too big for them and should order a smaller size and then suggested they order a share plate of coleslaw instead of three sides to save money first time I’ve ever heard someone suggest a cheaper option when they work there
Then came to us ordering
I asked for the New Yorker and she asked how I wanted it and I said medium please then to be told they are sold out of that so me and my partner had to order something else
I then asked for the plank and got told it was the last one so I had to order a smaller steak so my partner could have the last one which I’m not mad about but would of been good if they could of said when they seated us that unfortunately they have these steaks unavailable tonight
She then went off and then our food came out
Mums steak was in two pieces for a rump which is not normal
We had to sit there and listen to the girl interrupt the table behind us to ask how their meal was when they had only just got their food so didn’t give them a chance to eat and also tell the man oh sorry I think we overcooked your steak
Ate our meal then my partner asked the main waitress for a container and she asked if we would like dessert takeaway and we said yes please she went away to grab container and get the menu
The young girl then came over and asked my partner if the steak beat him and we said yes all good we are already getting a container from the other lady Thankyou
And she continued to go oh no she’s busy tending to her children I’ll take it so she took his plate and brought the container back and said how the other lady was off chastising the bar man.
We then had the chef come out to the table behind us and must of known them being regulars and had a seat with them and had a glass of wine while customers were still in the restaurant
We were hearing their conversation which was hard not to hear but some of the things they were saying were just ridiculous
The table were the owners of a winery and they were complaining about people with dietary requirements such as gluten free or lactose free for example they said they had someone who came in and said they were lactose intolerant and they said oh god here we go. Sorry but that is not professional at all! People can’t help what they can and can’t eat.
Then our takeaway desserts got left sitting on counter while we were waiting at the table for them
Coming from a customer service background this is not how you train someone from December to now how to be customer service she was putting on way too much overcompensating and would rather of just been spoke to like a normal human being
There was many more comments we got given From the waitress that just made the night uncomfortable I will not be spending $250 for this service again
Our family down here has said they changed owners and you can definitely tell!!!

A trendy little cafe/bar along Albany's waterfront. It's close to the pedestrian overpass to the Albany Entertainment Centre.
We had 3 x Albanyan burgers, which were just hugh and came with chips. One of our burgers was gluten & diary free. Perhaps a little expensive for burgers, but competitive with other places in that area.
The Cafe itself has a street vibe with graffiti artwork, upcycled materials and posters featured in the fit out. It was well patronised when we attended.
We took our burgers away but had a quick drink while we waited.
Safety warning - watch out for the embedded wooden skews in your take away burgers!

Rock Salt Restaurant is a gem! The atmosphere is cozy, and they offer a fantastic selection of gluten-free and dairy-free options. The staff are knowledgeable about food and wine pairings; they recommended Monty's Leap Sauvignon Blanc to go with my pork belly, and it was a match made in heaven. Plus, I appreciate the harmonious vibe between Rock Salt and Monty's Leap, unlike the typical city rivalry. Overall, a delightful experience worth every star
