It was our first time as a family for my sons 18th birthday. I was so impressed with the choice and the fact there was a gluten free menu too. The staff were super friendly and answered any questions we had as newbies! They also gave us guidance on what to order according to our tastes - excellent attention to detail regarding service. The food was amazing...I ate the fat on my steak!!! I NEVER eat the fat but somehow every bite was delicious! I'm also happy with the cost. We'd budgetted for an expensive meal, it was a special occasion but this came under budget so I was even happier

Excellent food. Perfect portions. Masses of gluten free options. Gorgeous vegan ice-cream and dessert wine. I'd have liked a few more options on a Sunday, (I'm not that much of a Sunday roast fan, but it was good food, all the same). I'm not vegan, but was trying to avoid saturated fats.
A popular spot for family dinners, known for perfectly cooked lamb and pork belly, though expect some wait on busy nights.

Don't go as a large group to celebrate they can't cater! Especially it anyone has allergies! 2 hours to wait for food! Food came out cold, with the gluten free bread still frozen and instructions on other meals not followed!
The meat was tough and fatty not good quality meat you would expect for the prices you pay and the steaks so small they couldn't feed a child! So over priced, had the food come out in time and warm it would have still been a disappointment
Booked a table early so wasn't in rush time, pre warned about allergies reassured would only add 20 minutes on! Spoilt a very special occasion, will never go back

This evening, we had dinner here. From the greeting until dessert, the service was faultless from our server, Robyn. Her extensive knowledge on the menu helped us all make great choices! & She even managed to deal with my friend's gluten allergy without a problem, made our evening even more memorable! Me and my husband popped in as we were waiting to collect someone in the area. We haven't visited before but what a beautiful pub. Gorgeous food very friendly and polite staff. They were also able to cater to my husband being gluten free and they are dog friendly!

Such a pretty venue.
The manager was slightly distracted on this occasion, but friendly nevertheless.
Christmas decorations added to the already pretty table settings and dressers with china tea sets, etc.
Gluten free Fish and chips highly recommended.
My husband even tried it and agreed, although he really enjoyed his 'normal' version.

A nice welcome, four delicious meals, great environment. Fabulous that so many dishes were or could be made gluten free- a rare treat- and a good range of vegetarian meals as well as "ordinary" ones. Service friendly and good. Seats comfy.
The salad starter was really interesting with lots if different flavours but not too big. Everything nicely presented.

I like the White Horse. The staff are friendly and pleasant; the food is tasty and served quickly. I would advise you to reserve a table, particularly for Sunday lunch. They do Gluten Free and Children's portions. The food is very well presented; the portions are large. There wasn't a vast range of desserts, but when I tentatively asked about a cheese board, which wasn't on the menu, they instantly obliged with a very nice one. Not cheap, but good value.
