Enjoy a cozy vibe with tasty dishes and a standout summer berry trifle, though the lighting might be a bit dim for your liking.

One of our party has gluten allergy, asked before we sat down if they offered gluten free options and were told most dishes could be adapted.
Once it came to ordering it became obvious there was only one gluten free starter option and only two main course options ....waited a long time for food to arrive, even though restaurant was not particularly busy. Food was ok but nothing special. Service was a bit hap hazard. Also children running up and down which didn't make for a pleasant dinning experience.
Won't rush back, unfortunately.
Enjoy a bustling atmosphere with excellent quality dishes that impress, though dessert options are limited on busy days.

We called in to the Burrendale today for late lunch I am gluten and dairy free and i find it difficult getting food that is suitable for me especially fish and chips with gluten-free batter,so when I asked the lovely lady who served us was there any chance they could do gluten-free fish and chips she said yes and the chef even done me dairy free tartar sauce ,my husband also had the fish and chips and me both said it's a long time since we tested fish that melted in your mouth and the batter was lovely and crispy the two ladies who served us was so helpful friendly and professional we didn't get the first ladies name because she went off duty the second lady who finished our order was called Pauline .. thank you both for the lovely service and compliments to the chef👨🍳

Been here 2 or 3 times for evening meals. Love the ambience of the place and the staff are friendly and attentive. Unfortunately my biggest problem, and which stops me going more often, is that there is an extremely small choice of gluten free options.
We decided to try out the Traditional Sunday Lunch for a change. Unfortunately I was not able to have this as the only option was only to have the accompanying vegetables. There was no option either for dessert (this is from the Sunday Lunch Menu)
Extremely disappointing considering such a great brand. A lot of other pubs are catering much better for Gluten allergens.

A place with a hit-or-miss roast beef, but a gem for tasty buns and crispy chips that leave taste buds happy!
