Great place to get a burger for a coeliac, though only if you go on a day the buns are fresh! I went twice, and the first time my gf bun was really nice, but the second time it completely broke apart within the first two bites, making it too hard to eat without a knife and fork. These are things we deal with as gluten free people anyway, so it wasn’t surprising, but a little disappointing after such a good bun the time before. Otherwise the burgers were great, the chicken nuggets were really nicely cooked, and the chips were yum too!

One of the best meals of our trip. Octopus starter followed by Blue Warehou (fish special)/lamb (all superbly cooked) and orange cake. Coeliac friendly with excellent cocktails and a great selection of wines. What’s not to like? 10/10

As a gluten free person Lucianos is a dream with heaps of cabinet and menu items catering to those with a gf diet. Coffee was fantastic. I can see why it’s so busy all the time. Parking was a tad difficult and I could see that people couldn’t find seats hence just 4 stars for atmosphere

Overpriced for small portions served with a side of attitude for free; rushed to order and felt unwelcoming and like we’d done something wrong before even speaking. Also says gluten free can be accommodated on a sign outside but when asked, we were told no (no further context or explanation) and felt like we couldn’t ask anything else.

Overpriced for the experience. Two people finished their mains before everyone received their meal, the gluten free option just had carbs removed entirely (not substituted) and wasn’t gluten free as our friend got sick.

Love this Subway!!!! Awesome team work! My mother told one worker she was gluten free and she even offered to change her gloves which shouldn't be so suprizing but it was considering you don't get that often! They were fast. All well at what the did. The best subway I've been too for sure. It was YUM!!!! thanks girls!!

Staff very friendly. Coping admirably despite coffee/hot chocolate/hot water > tea machine being out of service. Although in a tight place, 2 other customers (Chinese and Pakeha) polite and friendly. The latter wished me well as she & children left with takeaways. Obviously, the staff's demeanor has an effect on customers. Gluten free wrap 6", cheese toasted, turkey with fresh salad, very tasty. Staff did well for heart patient with newly fitted partial denture. (I told them of my limitations). Cookies delicious. Dark chocolate, oat bran, walnuts & dill Herb, are anti cholesterol. I made a point of thanking the staff as I left. David G.

Went for lunch. When we arrived only one table occupied, but three that needed clearing. Staff chatting in the corner basically ignored us. No indication of whether it was table service or order at counter. Ordered gluten free meal. It seemed okay, but later I had all the symptoms of having been glutened. Probably cross contamination due to poor food handling practices. We won’t be back.

Seriously the BEST subway in NZ! From the extremely clean restaurant , friendly happy staff, to the full VIP gluten free preparation service we had the most amazing experience here! Had a catering order of the wraps. These were so good and when I rang to confirm that two of the wraps would be gluten free they said had made them and wrapped them individually so as not to touch the other wraps. Couldn’t have asked for better service or food. Highly recommend.

This was sheer delight to enter these beautiful premises so clean and shiny…. Oh and the service I couldn’t fault it. And adding to this my order was for a gluten free wrap. The response and knowledge for putting together gluten free protein veges salads sauces condiments etc was no less than perfectly executed This was Monday the 14th in the evening where the two staff members on duty made my experience so easy for me in this allergy situation which I’d so often not the case They were right into knowing what was gluten free every step of the way My mood was definitely lifted that day

Absolutely delicious. I had a veggie sandwich with gluten free bread, and even though I usually don’t like goat cheese, I loved it in this case. All the flavours were well balanced and the sandwich was so juicy - will definitely go there again! My boyfriend had the chicken sandwich, and he was in love with it! Also, a special shoutout to the staff, who were very friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked into the place until the moment we left!
