We recently visited BJ’s Brewhouse in Murfreesboro with a party of 10. Beforehand, someone in our group was told there’d be no need for reservations—thankfully, I went ahead and made one anyway. That turned out to be a smart move, because we would’ve had a very different experience without it.
The restaurant itself was clean and the ambiance was fine—nothing particularly memorable, but comfortable enough. Unfortunately, the service and overall dining experience left a lot to be desired.
We waited quite a while before placing our orders, only to find out that one of the restaurant’s top menu items had run out. While that in itself isn’t a big issue, our server failed to mention this ahead of time, which would’ve saved time and hassle. For a party of 10, our orders were straightforward: everyone on separate tickets, one vegan guest, and one with a gluten allergy—both of whom knew exactly what they wanted. Still, the process was sluggish and disorganized.
Once the food arrived, several items were missing. We had to repeatedly ask for basics like condiments and drink refills. At one point, my sister was handed an empty A1 bottle and told, “I just shook it up,” which was both frustrating and dismissive. The food came out cold, and when we asked for it to be re-cooked, we waited nearly another hour.
Our server was largely absent during this time, and when the manager finally came over, she asked what I wanted them to do to make it right. I really would’ve appreciated a proactive suggestion instead of being asked to come up with the solution myself. At that point, it felt like the entire table needed their food remade, and the gesture of comping a single dessert—a “world famous” cookie—just didn’t make up for everything that had gone wrong.
Not to mention, the soap was out in the bathroom—and we saw servers going in and out of there. That made us wonder whether proper handwashing protocols were even being followed, which is a serious concern.
I understand restaurants have off days and that large groups can be challenging, but this experience made it clear that BJ’s is struggling to deliver basic service. While I appreciate the clean space and the attempt to make things right, this isn’t a place I’ll be returning to.
Finding a spot that serves unique bread options perfectly handled makes this place a must-try for those in the know.

If you have celiac disease, you already aware how hard it is to find gluten free food much less a sandwich. Shout to Jersey Mike subs for their gluten free bread and how they prepare it for people with celiac. Guy name Connor (glasses) has been very good at handling my food. I’ll continue coming here I highly recommend
A chill spot with great vibes, perfect for burger cravings, though cleanliness could use a bit of extra attention.

I love Red Robin. This location is no exception. The service is always great. It also makes me very comfortable knowing they serve Gluten-Free food.
My only gripe is the cleanliness. There could be more attention to cleaning the floors and restrooms.
Ordered gluten free bun, preference not allergic, they were aware. Finally got my sandwich after the 6 people behind me got there's. Guess the bun caused a delay. My first time ever eating at a jersey mikes, my last time also.
Unique vibes, great atmosphere, and delicious custard make this spot a memorable choice for a satisfying outing.

I had the gluten free bun with a mushroom burger and my hubby had the fish. They were both excellent. The fries were nice and hot and the custard (ice cream) delicious! Our server told us of a survey with a reward of a free custard. He was doing his job very well and left us smiling 😃. Great job, Brock!
Firehouse Subs is one of the few sub places offering gluten-free bread. So when we picked this one on our road trip, we were incredibly disappointed when they told us they couldn’t do gluten-free bread “at this moment.” This was around 12:50 p.m. on a Sunday. You should all rethink how you treat people with certain food restrictions—we already don’t have as many dining options, especially on a road trip. FYI, we are gluten-free due to a genetic disorder - thanks for treating us this way.

Staff was extremely helpful. Recently diagnosed with Celiac dining out has been difficult. Not only did they walk me through all their options, but they even wrote down some close by restaurants that served GF foods.
Great place to stop for a burger when traveling. This is my go to when traveling with a group. Everyone likes it. Their icecream is top-notch. Unfortunately this time they were out of gluten-free buns.
Known for its unique GF bread option, this spot provides a reliable take-out experience, even late at night.

Desiree, Lily, Zach, Tyler, and Jeramiah took great care of us when we come in 10 min before close with a take out order. I’m gluten-free and Jersey Mike’s is always good at taking care of my intolerance! It’s the only chain sub spot I know of with GF bread.
