Amazing food presentation, location, vibe and environment but I think Albert needs to review their menu and make sure their labelling is correct. For example couscous is not Gluten Free. Imagine a coeliac didn't know couscous is GF and they accidentally ate it...Otherwise. I like this place
Cozy spot with a tempting lunch menu and a decadent hot chocolate that keeps people coming back for more.

Stopped by and enjoyed a delicious hot chocolate served by friendly staff. Tempted by the lunch menu, so we stayed for a bite to eat. Highly recommend the Cheeky Chicken option on gluten-free bread for anyone GF. Scrumptious!
Vibrant decor and delicious, fresh options create an amazing atmosphere that everyone loves to rave about.

Down on holidays, I was told to go to the Funkey Monkey Cafe, based on the reviews we decided to give it a go. We went a total of 3 times over our week here with 3 different outcomes. They took the same amount of money for each meal each time, the service was acceptable but what we received in meals varied dramatically between day one to day three.
First, I ordered the bruschetta and it came out on two slices of toast packed with smash avo and poached eggs, It looked fantastic and the food was excellent. Then 2 days I ordered three takeaway meals, a burger with gluten-free toast, no chips and no cheese, ( charged $6 more for gluten free toast - understandable but didn't offer a discount for no chips or no cheese), another bruschetta meal we smash avo and a standard cheeseburger.
When we got home, the gluten-free burger with no chips and no cheese was covered with melted cheese and sadly my wife who doesn't eat dairy had to scrape off the cheese then spent the next 2 hours with stomach cramps. I called and spoke to the owner/manager, and all he said was sorry about that. No reason why, just said sorry about that as if he wasn't interested then hung up. The bruschetta meal came with two pieces of toast and smashed avo as it did previously and was delicious, the other burger was also nice and chips great.
This morning I went there for a meeting with my cousin for breakfast and I ordered the smashed avo on bruschetta again only to be delivered with just 1 piece of toast this time, confused by this, I questioned the owner/manager about the 2nd piece, again tells me that's how they come, I got the impression by his response he wasn't happy with me questioning the food quantity or the inconsistency.
Once I'd completed my meal and we were about to finish up, the cook came out with a piece of buttered bruschetta with nothing on it, he placed it on the table, didn't say anything or provide a reason then walked away, completely random.... At no time did the owner/manager come over to discuss my frustrations, he just made coffee.
So my takeaway from this experience was the prices didn't change over my three visits. The inconsistency in the bruschetta smashed avo breakfast on the final day was confusing to me as it was the same price I paid previously on two occasions except smaller day 3. The dietary requirements for the gluten-free burger were very specific, the counter staff wrote down the instructions very clearly, only to find that the owner wasn't even interested in providing any other solution or rectification of an unsatisfactory meal specifically dietary, which is a lot more important than quantity.
My advice is to be very clear on instructions, and question the owner/manager if your not satisfied or didn't get what you ordered, don't be surprised if he doesn't seem interested.
