This place was even better than the amazing reviews I read. As a gluten free traveller this was a must try for me. The owner makes the food fresh, and you can tell by the quality of the food you receive. Very generous portions and timely service. A fellow traveller claimed this as one of the best burgers he鈥檚 had while travelling.
Being celiac, there is not much left without containing possible traces of gluten or gluten-free dishes at all.
In Avignon there are few restaurants where we could eat with our eyes closed, we are disappointed
Renowned for its incredible variety of Bio sourdough breads, including standout ancient grain options, making it a must-visit for bread lovers.

The best range and taste of Bio sourdough breads we have come across in over 3 weeks in Europe. The ancient grain Einkorn bread was a standout and rice bread for gluten intolerance is also available.
I absolutely loved this place, a highlight of my Provencal minibreak, in terms of food experiences, and that includes a couple of Michelin places. Everything about it was perfect. The fabulous setting, with shady leafy trees in the courtyard of wonderful Lambert Collection modern art museum. The service, a bunch of gorgeous people inside and out serve you with warmth, care and humour (and even excellent English). The freshly squeezed beautiful juice combinations, the tea with ice and mint, olives on the house, and wonderful food. I opted for seabass (dourade), which was perfectly cooked, served with amazing caramelized aubergine; and freshly made chilli and mango "chutney" - so good!!! I normally don't have dessert, but the server suggested refreshing chilled compote of rhubarb with yoghurt icecream, childhood in a glass, just fantastic! Gluten free, and vegetarian options available. Recommended by locals, full of locals, I was the only tourist in the whole place for the few hours I was there. Make this no1 for lunch on your visit to Avignon. Whilst you are there, don't miss the museum next door, so fun.
With a magnificent setting and a fresh approach, this spot offers a unique vegan menu that stands out, even if it's a bit simple.

What a nice restaurant. The setting is magnificent.
Upon request, I had a vegan and gluten-free menu. So, I didn't have any appetizers or sweets because they hadn't thought of that, but in fact, I had starter + main course + dessert.
The starter: asparagus. Dish: ravioli. And for dessert: strawberries with lemon sorbet and popcorn.
Well, not very sophisticated but the dishes were made with fresh products and well executed.
It's so good !
Everything is fresh, with taste, very good, healthy and nourishing products.
Gluten-free dishes offered are great.
To try and adopt, I love it.
With a rotating menu of deliciously hearty dishes and extraordinary pastries, this cozy spot guarantees freshness in every bite!

Amazing recipes full of taste! Ultra fresh products and a menu that changes every week, the pastries are extraordinary and the dishes are hearty. Most importantly, there are always gluten-free recipes on the menu! The atmosphere is warm and the staff attentive. Look no further where to eat, Coeur d鈥橝rtichoke is the place to go!
