Mom’s kitchen situated within Kos port was fantastic.
All staff have great knowledge and understanding of coeliac disease and have a dedicated fryer for their chips etc.
I had the pork gyros (no pitta) but they are so accommodating and let you have additional food on your plate to make up for the missed pita. Also, they had GF beer, which was brilliant!
Extremely low risk of cross-contamination and I’m very happy to share that they have been the best GF restaurant so far.
Hope this helps anyone with Coeliac or a Gluten intolerance - they also said the island is getting better as the years go on, but make sure you ask around as some places still don’t understand!

We went to eat in the afternoon. The usher was an older man with a funny sense of humor. Then the mess started. There weren't many customers in the place, but it took a long time before orders were taken. An invoice was requested separately between the two groups. Not received. The waiter brought the wine, but didn't pour it into the glasses, so we did the pouring ourselves. It worked out that way. The food was ok. However, the gluten-allergic member of our group wondered why there was no gluten-free sauce in the dish, so the sauce was left out. The tableware was not taken away, so we piled it on the corner of the table. All in all, the service left a taste that the waiters were not quite up to their duties. My stomach was full, so now this place has also been experienced.

The atmosphere was extremely pleasant! The dishes were one of a kind in terms of creativity and everything we ate was excellent. I have no words to describe the hospitality of the owner, her smile and sociability. It seems that she has put passion and hard work into the shop from the setup, the decoration, the menu to the selection of the staff. The girl who served us was equally helpful and smiling. It is worth emphasizing that it is the ONLY choice on the entire island for those with healthy eating habits. Most of the products are sugar-free, gluten-free, flour-free or whole-wheat and absolutely energy-rich. The menu also includes options for those who do not have special dietary requirements and is worth a visit even if you are not looking for sugar-free or gluten-free products. The natural juices, of course, are something else. The prices are affordable for the island and compared to other stores. Finally, the store's mascot, the family dog, Sheldon, is the icing on the cake, as he shoots the beauty and atmosphere of the store to the top! I wish they had a distribution because those who live outside of Greece are not going to find anything like it anywhere else. I can't wait to visit it again and I highly recommend it to anyone who finds themselves on the island of Andros, even for a few days!
