Terrible customer care from one of the two ladies. It’s funny to read very old comments about the customer care of this place and to realize that nothing has changed very much. I went to this place for the first time last week looking for a small gluten free cake. The lady on the cashier was very nice, very politely said the cakes need to be ordered, which seems fair to me. Nevertheless she wanted to make sure the info was correct and went to the kitchen to confirm with her colleague. The colleague went out and said to me: “do you think I have a magic wand?” Perplexity from my side, I don’t speak very good German so wasn’t sure I was understanding right. “Yes, do you think I’m Harry Potter and have a magic wand?”. What kind of answer is that? Is strange to ask in a gluten free bakery if they have gluten free cakes? I’m still astonished. My advice, keep that lady in the kitchen, she clearly doesn’t know how to talk to clients. Unfortunately I can’t talk about the products they bake, and I will never as I don’t intend to go there again.
Self-service vibes and a chill atmosphere make it a perfect spot for everyone, with tasty options that won't break the bank!

I don't understand why the dishes at the buffet are explained so well but at the end they prepare me a cappuccino with oat milk (just because I didn't specifically ask for cow's milk). As a celiac disease sufferer, I rely on a gluten-free diet and am quite disappointed with how carelessly certain employees at Tibits deal with the topic of "food intolerances". Unfortunately, I have definitely lost my trust in Tibits thanks to my severe stomach cramps. Too bad! Trends are probably given greater weight than serious illnesses.
Enjoy a vibrant buffet experience with diverse cuisines, eco-friendly vibes, and a convenient pay-by-weight system in a stylish setting.

I asked over the phone about glute free and celiac disease, how they do it in the kitchen without contamination. It was confirmed to me that they will clean everything so there is no contamination, I would have to mention this when ordering. Well, we drove straight there full of anticipation. I placed the order with the express note "I cannot tolerate gluten, everything must be prepared without touching gluten, I just made a phone call and was assured the kitchen would be cleaned." Unfortunately, the operation didn't understand it correctly due to their understanding of the language. Burger was prepared very quickly, I asked again when paying (as take away) and it was confirmed to me again that everything had been cleaned. And voilà, burgers with gluten-free buns that are baked separately in the oven but the rest of the burger is contaminated. The restaurant is NOT recommended for people with celiac disease!
It was very hot and stuffy in the restaurant.
I haven't found the service good for a few months.
Burgers taste delicious if you don't have celiac disease!
Nice restaurant on the Rhine. You also have to explore the area. Not far from the old town but quiet and idyllic. Even though all the tables were reserved, the two of us spontaneously lucked out. The food is very good, the fries were fantastic. We asked for gluten free bread, which was available. However, it had to be defrosted and therefore took far too long. But quality was very good.
A vibrant spot with a unique atmosphere perfect for studying, relaxing, and making great first impressions, featuring good drinks and impressive decor.

This place ticks all the boxes for hosting gatherings! It’s got a really quirky aesthetic and a delightful vibe, it’s just the right size space, not too large and not too small. The back room is the perfect venue for hosting farewells, we did two here recently, just booked a few tables and easy to set up a bar tab with wristbands. Staff were wonderful, kids were welcome and so easy to entertain here. Food is reasonably priced and there’s so much variety, even gluten-free options. Bar has plenty of variety of cocktails. I love this place (so much more than markthalle and my kids can’t escape or disappear so it’s actually relaxing!). The only drawback is the back room gets a bit hot in Summer, they should open it up at the back (there’s already a door) to get a breeze and add plants and fans!
You know how you walk into a cafe just cuz a friend wants to go there & then you take a sip of coffee & then you are addicted & then you have to go out of your way to go back there the next day cuz it is so ridiculously delightful? That. And also, great gluten-free chocolate cake that is very worthy of being called cake. 😂
With super quick service and the option to pay in euros, it’s a perfect stop for travelers on the go looking for a tasty treat.

Very satisfied. I didn't have much time as I only had a short transfer time at the train station. I walked to the Swiss McDonald's with my luggage because there are no gluten-free burgers in the German McDonald's. It's been years since I've been able to eat a burger. That's why I took my chance in Basel :) When I got there, everything happened very quickly. I was able to pay in euros (only cash notes are accepted) and got the change back in Swiss currency. The gluten-free burger felt like it was ready after just 20 to 30 seconds and I had enough time to take my next train without rushing. Very cool 👍
