As a gluten free vegetarian I rarely if ever have so many options on a menu. Not only could I eat almost everything it was so hard to choose because everything sounded amazing! All the food my table ordered was delicious and the portions were great. I love the decor- Bohemian, art deco vibes!
Great coffee with lots of flavours and combinations. Fantastic food; gluten free, vegan the lot.
As with most American coffee joints they add a lot of sugary syrup as standard so request less if you are a sugar avoider.
You can buy crystals and other crafty paraphernalia here.
Expect a vibrant spot with a beautiful garden and a variety of fresh, local options, though be ready for a bit of a wait to grab your food.

These guys are awesome!!! Great food, great service, and a nice outdoor seating area. If you can see the teeth marks in it, then it's cooked right. Gluten free and vegan options are a plus. Legit bbq joint.
This cozy spot offers a warm atmosphere with a focus on seasonal dishes and a great selection of drinks—perfect for any brunch lover.

Went in unexpectedly and didn't really need a reservation during the week. They are wheelchair friendly with the side entrance and welcome small children with high chairs. I ordered my usual feast which could be considered "whoa." Chicken fried steak Sunny side eggs and cheesy hash brown and a side corned beef hash benedict. The atmosphere is one to experience. I remember when they had live music and the dining area felt so intimate, like an extended family celebration. The menu offers options to everyone, vegans, kids, celiac etc.very people friendly which is why the 5 stars. The banana stuffed french toast, pancake, and lunch specials, I mean I could go on, so it's safe to say the bill will be indicative of your appetite. The venue is so small and cozy, and due to COVID, they have made adjustments for safety protocols. They also encourage farm to plate ideas. Seasonal combinations like the roasted veg medley with goat cheese. Last but not least the cherry on top, I had the spacedusk on tap as well as their choice Mimosa.
Amazing breakfast, gluten free options (and they use the good GF bread), super friendly and competent service, and amazing lattes. Literally couldn’t ask for more.
You'll love the vibrant atmosphere with delicious margaritas and plenty of vegan options to choose from, making it a standout spot for all.

The salsa is so good, I get it now! Great service, great margaritas, great food. The margarita had actual pieces of mango in it, and I was able to find vegan gluten free options really easily. I have a wheat allergy and wasn't set off at all. Def recommend the chorizo tofu!

Familia Cafe is an awesome new coffee shop in the Creamery District of Arcata.
I’ve been here a few times now and really enjoy their decaf espresso and decaf coffee. I know, I’m a decaf only drinker now.
They also have gluten free options. Thank goodness. They usually have a couple of baked goodies. Today I got a gluten free egg sandwich, which was delicious.
Only thing I do not like, is it only has outdoor seating, and that outdoor seating is limited. I wish they had indoor seating, as I’d like to study there.
Great coffee, great food. Also very nice staff.

Best dine-in taqueria in NorCal. Street tacos, birria, tamales and tortas are all amazing. Gluten free and dairy free options are generally the default here.
