Everything about this place, from the moment you walk in, until you are back in your car to leave, oozes attention to detail and class. The details in the decor are so well thought out and special, that it's a joy just to walk around and see what beautiful art and little surprises you can discover. Even the bathroom is a delight! THE FOOD - The attention to detail, art and special thought continues into the food itself. The open kitchen is almost an art gallery of its own. The way it is set up offers you a sneak peak into the front line, including watching Chef hand perfect each dish before sending it on its way to a lucky diner. The flavors are nuanced and nothing is hidden beneath seasoning. You first get an artful representation vidually, followed by a tantalizing taste journey. Each ingredient has its place, the flavors are perfectly balanced and everything is skillfully cooked. We had oysters raw, jumbo shrimp cocktail, warm milk bread, the whole Dorade, lobster ravioli, and the fire roasted potato. For desert we had the vegan, gluten free Coconut Pana Cotta. The Service - Every staff member (host, bartender, barback, food runner, manager), are warm, gracious, attentive and professional. The hostess was kind enough to walk us around and help us choose an open seat, even though we did not have a reservation. We chose a seat at the beautiful, wrap around bar counter. The servers were engaging and went over the menu with us and made recommendations. The cocktails and mocktails were tasty and expertly crafted. One of the servers even de-boned our whole fish for us. Even though we sat at the bar, we were treated with a fine dining experience. As we were leaving, the general manager took us on a tour of the restaurant and shared with us even more of the special details and made sure we had a wonderful experience. What a special new edition to Redwood City in such a beautiful waterfront location. We will definitely be back!

Long line to order in your car, but once they take your order didn't have to wait long, food was good and it was my first time trying chick fill, I also like that they offer gluten free bun and was also delicious, very efficient staff and friendly, thank you.

Ok, is this place expensive? Yes. Does it sell out of most of its food by 12pm? Also yes. But, it's popular for a reason! The location is great, their coffee is good, the kouign amann are flaky, crispy, buttery, and delicately sweet, the almond chocolate pastries have lovely craquelin with toasted almonds on top and are stuffed absolutely full of bittersweet chocolate and marzipan-like, not too sweet almond filling. The hazelnut cake is a little bit bland - kind of like banana bread with no banana flavor - but has a moist, filling texture. And everything is extremely beautiful. The attention to detail really stands out. The food is five stars - but minus one for extremely high prices ($19 for a ham sandwich? $8 for a slice of bread?) and limited selection later in the day. Also, they have some gluten free options, but it would be really nice if they had one or two vegan options as well in their baked goods. But those things definitely won't keep me from coming back. :)

We LOVE this place. We live around the corner and come all the time. Their prices are so reasonable for the exceptionally high quality. They are always very kind and accommodating with special requests. We once ordered a gluten-free and dairy free cake for a friends birthday who has a lot of allergens. Needless to say, we were all blown away at how great the cake was even though we had such a specific request. Our favorite through is the Oreo cheesecake!

The food is delicious, fresh, and gorgeously presented. We have been for coffee, brunch, lunch, and just yesterday, late-ish dinner. CT hash, and citrus salad with the addition of prosciutto and avocado are my favorites, I would like to see more gluten-friendly options on the menu. The Korean food items sound appealing, alas they contain gluten and cannot be modified at this time. Patio is really nice for enjoying just the right amount of sunshine and they have heaters for night time.

The food here tastes excellent. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. The outdoor sitting is a plus. The lower rating is because of an issue with gluten free dish. I got the Chicken Shami Kabab and it's labeled gluten free online. I have celiac disease. After eating this dish, I had the usual sign of being glutened and had a terrible stomach issue. I suspect there was cross contamination. I think if the restaurant offers gluten free entrees, staff should be extra careful in making sure there's no cross contamination with other dishes that contain gluten. For people with no dietary issues, this is a great place. Unfortunately, I don't think it is a celiac friendly restaurant.
