BEWARE. The Gluten Free (GF) Labels on the menu mean GF options available for that dish, NOT that the dish is gluten free. Talk to your server about your order.
I was excited when seeing the GF labels all over the menu, especially when seeing that most of those dishes involved pita bread. Sadly after talking to the bartender I learned that their pita is (obviously) not GF. Their rice pilaf also has soy sauce in it, so do not just assume the dish is GF even though they are labeled GF. Service was great and the food was good. Pricey, but normal for the gaslamp area and it was very tasty.
One of my FAVORITE coffee shops downtown. The staff are always so helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Amazing coffee and tea! They have a great selection of gluten free pastries as well which I have a tough time finding at other shops. The atmosphere is so charming, and I love the music selection they play. Highly recommend!!!
With an inviting patio vibe and a diverse menu, this spot is perfect for family visits, so arrive early to beat the crowds!

My husband and I went here on our honeymoon and it turned into one of our favorite breakfast places in San Diego. We recently took a couple family members when we visited and everything was just as amazing as before. Each time we were seated very quickly, service was on point, and the food was beyond fantastic. They also have a gluten free menu and vegan options. Sitting outside on the patio is ideal, but most people are waiting to sit outside so you have a better chance getting a table if you choose to sit inside.

Cute spot and opens early! There were Gluten free pancakes and other options, but you'll need to ask the server to double check regarding allergies. Service was great and the food was tasty. Everything came out fast. Atmosphere was good, especially for an early morning crowd.

I used to live around the area and this is my go to spot! Moved to the other side of town and still love when have something to do in the area and I get to stop by. The music is upbeat, the food is filling but not heavy, and the ingredients they use make me feel great. I have a gluten allergy and love that they give me two slices of toast! Gluten free bread is a lot smaller than normal bread and most places don’t make up the difference. All juices, bowls and smoothies are made fresh in house too and they have travel bottles for convenience :)
Enjoy vibrant open-air dining with a lively atmosphere, tons of TVs, and tasty flavor that keeps the good vibes going.

I'm Yore Huckleberry!
Ate there for a late lunch. Open air dining. Multiple games on. Music kind of loud. Service was friendly. Food was tasty. My wife is gluten-free and was able to find multiple options she could eat. My street tacos had really good flavor.
Went for my friends' birthday. Didn't know it was food and games. Or rather games and food. They have an in house bowling alley, hence the name.
They have several different games; some cost, some are free. And even the free ones you can get a good chunk of time with them.
Paying for the games isn't awful if you're on a strict budget but their not cheap either. In that case, it's either food or games. Not both.
I'm surprised the food tastes as good as it does. I ordered the French Toast and my wife ordered the nachos. Both were very good. I think French Toast was a tad too custard-y on the inside but it didn't take away from my enjoyment.
They also have vegetarian and vegan options. Everything is claimed to be fresh and grass-fed; they have gluten-free options, etc.
I'm willing to come back and try more food. And when the wallet allows, I'll check out the bowling alley in the restaurant.

So sad I found this place just a month before I plan to move from the area! Really good protein shake flavors that can be made vegan or gluten free! Reasonable prices. Support local!!! If the door feels closed just wait for them to open it. They have to keep it closed so homeless don’t keep wandering in with only 1 person on staff. Lots of seating so feel free to bring your laptop.
