This is the best coffee shop cafe to stop by and great gluten free choices. Try their gf seed bread toasted on any sandwich. Inventive salads, soups, sandwiches, bright spaces, great staff, smooth coffee, a delight for the senses.
A festive buffet with a carving station, smooth service, and a cozy atmosphere makes for a delightful dining experience.

We went to Matthew's 1600 for the Thanksgiving buffet. Reservations were required, but I had no issue with that a few weeks in advance. I think the price was on par with most buffets. Gratuity was included in our bill already. They had simple white lights and flowers to decorate and the buffet line went smoothly. There were a variety of options, including vegetarian and gluten free dishes. My favorite was the seafood pasta (crab and shrimp with cream sauce and penne). They included a carving station, which is a nice touch. The dessert table had multiple options from cake to pudding. Overall, the experience was very nice. They do have a handicapped entrance, but please be aware that there are also a lot of stairs on the other side of the restaurant.
Decadent treats and rich desserts make this spot a must-visit, plus it’s stroller-friendly and has charming touches for little ones!

As someone who is gluten free, I appreciate that there is always something that I can have. The GF pies and cookies are out of this world! They don't taste GF!
My husband (who is lucky, and not gluten free) is in love with the pastries. He plans to travel from Annapolis to Catonsville to Largo in rush hour just to bring these fantastic goodies in for his coworkers. Yes, these desserts are worth traveling for! If you want decadent treats that are made with love, be sure to stop in.
It’s not online but they do offer gluten free bread & it’s good. The GF bread (unlike many others) does not fall apart easily. The sandwiches are large & they are generous with the meat/toppings
The BEST local cafe with amazingly delicious food and friendly staff. We are lucky to live right down the street, and that they have amazing gluten free options!
We went this past weekend and had a terrible experience. To start, there only seemed to be one server for the entire restaurant. So it was not his fault that he couldn’t provide great service, he was stretched way too thin.
The frozen machine was broken, there was no draft beer, the beers we did order weren’t right (or that cold). We had someone with a gluten allergy and they mistakenly gave them the one with a flour tortilla after “double checking to make sure it was corn”.
The redeeming quality was that the food was great. We all enjoyed our meals.
Downstairs was not any better, there DJ was playing club music at a volume you would expect at a nightclub in DC. There was maybe 35-40 people total. Couldn’t hear anyone the entire time we were down there.
It feels like this place is about to close down and didn’t care about the experience. We will not be back
Food is the perfect portion and flavor is rich and delightful. I highly recommend the lunch deal. Tons of GLUTEN FREE options and the menu is clearly labeled!!
