I always enjoy coming to Sowers when we're in State College! They have some good Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free options if you're not sensitive to eggs or rice! I've not ever got something I didn't like here!
A cozy hub filled with vintage finds, an endless book selection, and a welcoming vibe where everyone feels like family.

Sunday was my first visit to Webster's. At first, I felt like I was crashing a private party. I think this was mainly due to have warm and welcoming the owner was. She was greeting and chatting with everyone. The food was amazing. Heaven for vegan and gluten-free needs!
This spot is known for quick service and a great vibe, making it a favorite despite its tricky entrance and exit.

Love Chick-fil-A. Always fast. Has gluten free options that work for us. This location is very difficult to get into and out of, but Chick-fil-A is great and this location has fantastic employees!

We had wonderful service on both our visits to the state college area for games. They are able to modify the eggs to be gluten free and they have delicious gluten free pancakes. Definitely recommend this location!
Expect a mix of homey Italian flavors in a fine dining setting, but be ready for slow service and small tables.

This restaurant is really a home cooked Italian meal restaurant with fine dining prices. The prices, and the need to purchase dinner salads and sides separately, suggest that you are eating at a fine dining location. But the food itself is more like very delicious home cooking. Just not sure that what you get is worth the price. On the plus side they have numerous gluten free options, and the atmosphere was friendly but not homey. And the food was tasty. The service was slow, even though it wasn't crowded, and when the waitress did come by, she would leave empty handed with dirty dishes left on our table. Our table was small so it began to feel crowded.
Offering a creative twist on classic favorites, this spot is known for its unique burgers and standout fries that keep foodies buzzing.

Pretty good. I appreciated the gluten free bun. The chips were just alright and the pickle didn't have a ton of flavor. I would recommend going with fries or another side instead
I know Waffle Shop is a State College institution, but I always find their food to be mediocre. It's a traditional diner with lots of choices, but even their namesake item - Waffles - is just blah (soft and mushy). When I stick with standard eggs, toast, sausage, it's better. Be careful if you have issues with gluten though, since my husband got glutened there (he ordered an omelette instead of just eggs, so we suspect they might use batter to make the omelettes fluffier. Should have asked)

One of the main locations for in-campus dining.
Spacious seating areas with wonderful view overlooking Pollock residence hall garden and East side of campus.
Fancy design, and most importantly healthy and fresh nutritious food served.
Deliciously prepared meats, fish and other entrees, let alone the salad bar! Vegetarian, vegan, gluten and lactose free options always available. Special varieties are also offered for Halal dining and during the months of Ramadan.
Breakfast includes the cottage cheese unavailable in other locations.
Kudos to all the hard-working staff for making the place so fabulous!
Their Sunday Brunch Buffet is amazing! Almost all the items were gluten free and cinsidering I have Celiac disease. Brandon chef was sooooo attentive to our dietary needs. He even brought us a special flourless chocolate cake just for us. Food was superb, waitress Carly was extremely nice and attentive. Ate so much from the buffet had no room.for the omelette station. Potato gouda soup was to die for. Best brunch in State College hands down!

Being corn and gluten free, I am able to eat there power bowl steak salad with no harmful effects. ( I delete the ranch dressing )
It is a very filling meal and tastes great.
But, come-on man, please don't forget my spork!
They still get 5 stars!

Loved this place! Our server was fabulous from start to finish. We had French press coffee and it tasted like the coffee in Europe. I need to eat gluten free and was so happy to have an egg sandwich on a GF bun and couldn’t pass up the crème brûlée. So good! My husband had the Chicken Fried Chicken and he said it was really, really good. If you want a variety of tasty food with a casual atmosphere and very reasonable pricing, go!

A lovely new spot and much needed addition to the local food scene! They are debuting the full food menu tomorrow so today was a coffee date, and my first time trying Turkish coffee! Definitely recommend trying it and getting the experience--very strong coffee that is not at all bitter. I normally can't drink black coffee at all but this was excellent. It's served with a little sparkling mineral water and two small Turkish delights. I also got the rice pudding which was excellent. I'll definitely be back for brunch!
I was also delighted that they had a couple gluten free cookie/muffin options. Would love to see those options carried through to the full menu, and having gluten free bread to go with shakshuka!
