I loved this place! We sat at the counter, because it was very busy at breakfast time (very good service nonetheless). It has a cool, local vibe. The food was delicious. Ya gotta love a diner that gives you your choice of hash brown style. I had the smoked salmon benedict and really enjoyed it. There are vegan and gluten free options.
Waited to be seated for a long time. Then stuffed 5 of us into a small booth. Threw menus down on the table and didn't return for a long time. Once the meals were brought out, my wife ordered a gluten-free bun on her burger (allergy) and received a regular bun. Family waited for me in the vehicle because it took so long to get the bill. It was not even busy in the restaurant. I'm not impressed with this location.
A cozy gem with a charming selection of books and games, plus a deliciously creamy cheesecake that keeps everyone coming back for more.

What an unexpected and lovely treat it was to find this shop! Had a beautiful latte and an amazing piece of cheesecake - REAL cheesecake! And it was gluten free! Hoping to stop by again next time Iβm in Campbell River.

The food was SO good. I was especially impressed by the gluten free waffle! Best one I have ever had. I think our server was the owner because she was so knowledgeable and flexible for my gluten intolerance and for my kids weird orders. Highly recommend.
Great vibes with awesome service, tasty eats, and a DJ spinning nice tunes for a fun night out.

It's great for a night out with live music, the shuffle board and pool table, but service isn't the greatest and there are no celiac-friendly options. When we asked the server what was gluten free she replied "you tell me". It was for a work function so we had a fee different things to consider.
I clarified my comment due to owners reply.
I felt the need to leave a review as the last ones were quite old. They have a new manager and a new chef in the past year and have been making great efforts in improving their service and staff knowledge. No dedicated GF fryer, but given the nature of the food being mostly Mexican inspired, there are quite a few items that can be modified to suit and the kitchen will make accommodations to avoid cross contamination. I love the fajitas and you can request corn tortillas instead of the flour ones. Itβs one of the top 3 places in town I enjoy dining out that actually has some decent GF options!
Great breakfast with gluten free bread option and good value for the money. They were busy and the order still came quickly hot and the server was very friendly.
