The Big Breakfast was big, the long black was delicious, the staff were friendly with a smile and a quip whilst still professional. I can't understand the poor reviews. Our meal arrived in good time - it was obviously freshly cooked. I asked for GF, and nothing was too much trouble. They swopped out my sausage for halloumi, and they hid a tasty tomato under the bacon. Best bit - the potato rosti/hash brown. Beautifully seasoned. There was a whole shelf of gluten-free sweet treats, 7 options! If only I'd had room after breakfast.

OMG I had the most delicious gluten free lunch here. Salmon and potato ball with a fresh and delicious side salad. As a coeliac, I didn't feel at all sick after it, so I would suggest the food is prepared well from a cross-contamination perspective. I have eaten here a few times over the years and have never been ill.
All I wish is that I took some of those tasty treats away with me! I'll definitely be back here. A place we always go to when down in Invercargill.
The only problem with this place is that it's always so busy. But great vibe and highly recommend. If you are a coeliac please do recheck when you go there about any of your concerns.

Kryz was so awesome to work with! I had a party of 25 and i decided to go with catering from Charlies. Such a good decision. Food outstanding quality and quantity. Such great feedback on the savouries. Also catered for vegetarian and gluten free guests. Kryz made pick up on a Sunday easy too! Totally recommend Charlies for lunch for one or a crowd.
