This past weekend, we held a memorial luncheon for one of my Uncles at Ella’s. My aunt and I worked with Chielo to reserve the patio and to choose from a wide variety of buffet choices from their catering menu. The day of the event we arrived to a space that was comfortable, private and beautifully decorated. The service from Avi and her staff was excellent! It was a breezy and sunny day and so it was nice that they had cover over the patio to shield us from the elements. Everyone raved about the food-highlights were the chicken and salmon that were cooked to perfection and so delicious! the Ella’s salad and gluten free pasta were also big hits. Also, We initially planned to have around 29 persons to attend but at the last minute 11 persons couldn’t come because they were sick with Covid and Chielo very surprisingly adjusted the bill per person accordingly which I did not expect her to do because I had told her about the changes so last minute. Aside from this catering event, when ever I am in Watsonville I always try to stop by Ella’s for drinks and food as this is one of my favorite places to eat at. The location adjacent to the Watsonville airport is so fun to watch the small planes fly in and out of the airport. I highly recommend Ella’s at the airport!
So happy to see more little spots like this coming to town like Watsonville. I tried the gluten-free crêpe and it was great and a great price at $13! Cute outdoor seating and great staff
I'm giving a 3 out of 5. The food was really good. But I did research before going because I have celiac disease. I saw they have gluten free options. So I had my mind set on some gluten free pasta. Got there and was told they didn't have gluten free pasta. Big let down. So I ended up ordering shrimp stir fry with brown rice, it was good and portions were huge. I did end up getting gluten sensitive symptoms 😔
