This is my favorite place in town to eat.
Your bread choice is biscuit or half an avocado.
The coffees on the bar are LUSCIOUS, and you can have whichever kinds you like!
The staff is friendly, and they understand gluten free (!!!!!!!!!!).
I've taken my out of town friends and family here, and they've all loved it!
I especially like their skillets.
This spot is a must-visit for its unique vegan and vegetarian offerings, vibrant atmosphere, and rave reviews on delicious treats!

I am not someone who writes reviews very often but Canopy Road (specifically the Apalachee Parkway location) is incredible. I have been going there for years and have never once had a bad experience. The staff works extremely hard and always has the best attitude. Definitely worth the wait if there is one. It was rare that I was not there on a Saturday or Sunday morning during my time as an Undergraduate student. The staff remembered who I was every single time and was always extra cautious when handling my food (due to my gluten allergy).Chelsea at the front is one of the reasons this location is so special. She greets everyone she meets with the most genuine smile and is one of the hardest workers I have ever seen.
Expect a busy vibe on weekends but enjoy a diverse menu with unique options that keeps everyone coming back for more.

Stopped in for a late dinner. The place was quiet, and the service was quick. I tried both the Goat curry and Lamb Masala, both of which were fire 🔥 !
I’m expecting good things from the rice pudding I got to-go
They even had well-marked Gluten-free options, which is a rarity everywhere
Enjoy a charming garden setting with fresh ingredients, where delicious meals and a cozy atmosphere create a memorable dining experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Backwoods Crossing, and I can’t say enough about their salad with gluten-free catfish bites. The catfish was perfectly seasoned and had a delightful crunch that paired beautifully with the fresh, crisp greens. The highlight, however, was the oyster mushrooms – their flavor and texture were simply out of this world.
A big shout-out to Jade and Ella for their outstanding service. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. The atmosphere was top tier, creating a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend this dish and this restaurant for anyone looking for a delicious, gluten-free option in a wonderful setting.

How did I forget to review this place?
As a Celiac and someone married to an Asian-American, the food I miss the most since my diagnosis is Asian foods of all kinds.
While on vacation in Florida, I found Azu Lucy Ho's, which has a separate gluten-free menu. They also provide gluten-free tamari.
As far as the gluten-free food, while I thought the house salad was a rip-off at $6, I liked the $18 Mongolian beef and the $21 Yu-Shang Triple. The scallops were HUGE too.
While the regular menu is much larger, I was just happy to get some Chinese-American food for once. I'd love it if they could make a gluten-free green onion pancake because I was jealous of the normal one my husband ordered.
The owner was also a totally chill guy and very personable.
Overall, if you're a Celiac, I definitely recommend this place.

I have celiac and Amanda was very knowledage about what was okay and not okay and pointed out all my options. Also the best scrambled eggs I've ever had!
Known for its diverse menu and reliable takeaway, this spot is a crowd favorite for tasty dishes and solid group dining experiences.

I'll start with the gluten free comments. Wife has celiac, she loves the Singapore rice noodles and pineapple fried rice options, though they have other options. She doesn't have the worst sensitivity, but it is strong enough to trigger if there is cross contamination from prep or cooking areas. She never has a problem here.
For me, sushi variety is always great, love their fried rice options.
Multiple others we have brought have tried various entrees and noodle dishes and only ever had compliments on the food.
Definitely recommend this restaurant, as it has become our quick takeaway fallback and we eat from here once every couple of weeks.
Enjoy a chill vibe with a lovely indoor/outdoor space and great coffee, perfect for relaxing and trying unique snacks in a local gem.

The only food I tried was the Bliss Bar. It's delicious, with raspberry and a bit of white chocolate. Saw several nice looking options for gluten-free baked goods as well. Nice indoor/outdoor space with a great vibe. Really nice staff.

My husband and I went for dinner and he got a staek, chicken and ravioli which was amazing. I ordered the shrimp Italian salad it was good until I got sick there and had to come home and I am still feeling sick today. We told them I had a gluten allergy and the server even told them I did. They still crossed contaminated it with the beef. The manager was so very pleasant and apologized that they will definitely get the allergy contaminated kept cleaned and no if you gave a gluten allergy. Our server was also very sweet and kind and came and checked on us even when we were about to get up and leave from paying.
Enjoy a vibrant experience with customizable bowls and a cozy atmosphere that leaves you feeling great and wanting to return!

Lemon and Thyme is my favorite restaurant I’ve ever been to. The service is fast and the workers build your bowl perfectly. I love that they have a gluten free dessert option! I always feel happy after eating this lunch. My best friend and I immediately bonded after sharing the experience of eating lemon and thyme together in my car. We devoured and drank all our sweet teas and the feeling I had in that moment was that most incredible thing. We both had leftovers that we put in the fridge and ate later that night. I would recommend this place to anyone who asks me what the best lunch spot in Tallahassee is. Laney if you see this, let’s go to lemon and thyme.

Best vegan food we've had so far on our cross country road trip. They have a decent selection of gluten free options which I really appreciate. Very friendly service.
Great flavors and diverse menu options make this spot appealing, but service could use some improvement for a smoother experience.

The food flavors were great! There was a nice variety of options. They even had some vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, and gluten-free menu items. There were a few things that could have been better. When the host brought us to the table, it wasn't all the way clean, so she left to get a cloth so she could wipe it. She also had to leave again to get a broom and dust pan to sweep under the table. We had to ask for syrup for the pancakes. There were a few minutes waiting in between when all but one entree was brought to the table. The food should come out at the same time. I hope the service improves. I'd like to visit again and have a better experience.
Expect a welcoming vibe with helpful staff and typical dining prices for a casual outing with a group.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Helped me order gluten-free. While the prices seemed high. It's probably typical of what eating out costs now. Since my boss was treating us. I didn't have to worry about it.
If you're on FSU campus, it's hard to beat Seminole Cafe on variety and quality. Otherwise, it's fast-food,or make your way to Tenn St. I prefer their vegetarian items compared to Suwannee room. The pizza, burgers and wraps are all-day, but SemCafe seems to always have some great, _real_ food available during meal-times. We're talkin' whole grains, hearty vegetables, tofu dishes. They try and keep things tasty with ethnic inspired flavors. Never spicy (enough) but the hotsauces are kept stocked, hehe. On a serious note, vegans can get a nutritious and tasty meal here. As can gluten-sensitive and maybe even raw-foodists, considering their large salad bar. Can't promise the nuts and seeds weren't roasted though. If you want killer desserts, Suwannee's the place to go. But, SemCafe is definitely the best cafeteria on campus.

My family and I absolutely love Yasou! They make some of the best Mediterranean food we’ve ever had, especially for a quick-service cafe. I highly recommend their hummus, dolmades, and falafel. Their Yasou fries are sinfully good, too. They’re always quick, efficient, and helpful with my allergy (gluten). Stop by Yasou in Southwood and enjoy the delicious cuisine!

Lovely place to eat. We want to come back and try some other dishes. Would love to see if a dish is gluten free or could be served gluten free. Meyer lemon Creme Brulee and Salted Butterscotch Pots de Creme were amazing! Our server Artemis was wonderful.
Update to my first review 10 months ago:
Visited three times in the last two months and the service has really gone down hill. My daughter has celiac so she must eat gluten free. We happened to ask about gluten free food and the server said the chips were not gluten free. First time in a dozen visits we've heard that. And, we have asked about it. They have someone new every time we go who seems to have an attitude. Forget items in our order and the food is not consistent. Sometimes good other times not.
First review 10 months ago:
I have eaten here four or five times. One of my daughters is celiac and they have quite a lot of gluten free options. Last week when I was dropping my daughter at FSU we were there and the cashier got a bit nervous. She advised us of possible cross contamination. I asked them to take the usual protocols of changing gloves, clean utensils and clean work surfaces. My daughter has never gotten sick.
My fussier and harder to please older daughter and her boyfriend were seriously impressed with the food and vibe. Being from Miami we have tons of food options and they loved the overstuffed tacos, cheese dip, salsa and guac. The margaritas are a bit weak for my taste.
The tacos are almost like an Asian Fusion/Mexican cuisine. We Love It!
Will definitely be back.
Great food. I wish there were more GF options, but as someone with celiac, there were great protein options, and they made sure there was no dairy, and that was great. Will eat there again.
We went there for dinner last night. The food was very good and not very expensive. They have a gluten free menu (photos) with many choices, gluten free soy sauce, and made to order gf spicy mayo. Our waiter, Joseph was great. He was very helpful, advised of modifications for sushi for gf, and understood celiac. We will definitely be back.
This was my second time at Horizons, great atmosphere and great food! I got a sangria to drink and my friend got an old fashioned, both were great. We got the Mac and Cheese burger which had a fried Mac and cheese patty on it! The Wakulla Springs chicken was juicy and full of flavor. My sister has Celiac so the chef made sure to prepare it safely and give her double mashed potato’s since they were gluten free. I had Jimmy’s Porkchop. The Apple topping was great and paired well with the perfectly cooked chop.
Mickey at the bar knew exactly how I wanted my steak when I said Pittsburgh rare. Cooked perfectly! Glass of Decoy Cab and my meal was complete. Gluten friendly too. Highly recommend
