We stopped in on our way out of town with our three kids (one who has celiac disease) and we're delighted to find out that they not only had gluten free options but also a dedicated prep space for gluten free food which is crucial for our celiac child. The staff was very friendly and helpful with us as we were figuring out lunch options. AND the food and coffee were delicious!
We will be back and I'm so thankful we found this place.
Ideal for a family hangout with an always enjoyable atmosphere.

The Wake Cafe is amazing! The owner, Caroline, personally made my omelette when she found out I was gluten free (see picture). I haven't had an omelette that good in a long time! The restaurant is immaculately clean and staff friendly and helpful. Really cute gift shop in the restaurant. Lots of parking. I'm headed back tonight for a burger on a big Portobello mushroom!

Went to Jake's today for lunch. Loved the atmosphere on the water and the food was great... but I'm writing this review because of the service. I'm a celiac and that makes eating out a nightmare. It didn't look like I could have a side with my lunch and I'm used to that, so I had accepted it. Our server went out of her way to check on the side I had asked about and showed up with it when my lunch came out and assured me that it was in fact gluten-free. I will be back.

Was very pleased when I asked for gluten free options there was at least a gluten free bun and our server had great understanding of food allergies versus a preference. I over heard her ask more than one table that had a customization was it due to a food allergy to ensure cross contamination precautions were communicated to the kitchen.
Would LOVE to see them offer gluten free pancakes/waffles one day.
