Lovely cafe in Cowra with excellent and very pretty leafy outdoor seating. Service is quick n friendly. The gluten free nachos with meat, kidney beans & sour cream was a fab brunch that kept me going all day until dinner 😋

We ordered the avocado with baby spinach & lemon on sourdough. We had a hard time finding the avocado and the bread wasn’t sourdough just normal white bread. I think they may have only had one avocado which was split between both plates. We ate there two days due to not much on offer in the area. First day it was like everything was an effort for some of the staff. Coffee was like dish water with not substance. There was another couple in the cafe at the same time who had issues with gluten free diet request. Such a shame as we prefer to support local cafes rather than the likes of MacDonald’s when we are travelling.

Rainy Sunday lunch, plenty of customers. But the food came fast and great quality! The gluten free sandwich was wonderful, as was the big bird burger!! Highly recommend food place! We will come back next time we are in town, thank you all very much!

My wife and I were up from Melbourne, visiting fam in Cowra, and I wondered what the chances were of a country town having a shop that did something sweet that's gluten, dairy, and soy free... Imagine my surprise when I found Sumo Shakes on Google Maps, with gluten free doughnuts on their menu! 😱 Asked the owner over the phone if they could confirm if the doughnuts were also dairy and soy free, to which they did. Sometimes a request like this might be met with some reluctance as it may seem bothersome for some to double-check the ingredients of their products. But that wasn't the case here! Owner was really nice about it 🙏🏻 They did mention that their cinnamon sugared gluten free doughnuts have to be pre-ordered though, but immediately offered to whip up a batch for us, ready for pick-up in a couple of hours! 🥹 Taste and texture? IMO, 9/10 🤤 I only score them 1 point short of a straight 10/10 because IMO they were just a tiny bit oily when bitten into. But honestly? We THOROUGHLY enjoyed them. Smaller than an regular cinnamon sugared doughnut, but perfect biting size and full of flavour, with a delicious hint of vanilla. Good value IMO too 👍🏻 We'll definitely be ordering every time we come up to Cowra. Thanks so much Sumo Shakes for providing for the folk who aren't able to eat gluten and dairy! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Great coffee and AMAZING bacon and egg rolls! They even had a delicious gluten free bun! Totally home made and so fresh, we came here all 3 days we were in town, thank you ladies!!!

What a find!! If you visit Cowra, drop in for breakfast (from 6am), great coffee, and lunch (before 2pm). The staff smile and talk to you. Gluten free foods are available. You can order breakfast off the menu or make your own. They will even cook it the way you like!! Best find in Cowra.

Japanese Garden Café keep gluten free bread and are happy to substitute it for breakfasts and lunch options. I enjoyed a GF BLT with the fries substituted for a side salad. Sadly a shared fryer. Several GF sweet options stored on separate plates wrapped in gladwrap. Order was taken to kitchen with COELIAC highlighted and underlined.
