Exceptional gluten free food! Particularly the cannolis! Definitely need to go back to try all the other flavours! The server recommended the Darth cannoli, which was the banana and date flavour, and wow, she wasn’t kidding when she said it was delicious! The staff were all very friendly too, which makes such a huge difference to the experience. I’m pleased to say it was worth the wait, and 90 minute journey!

I've never had such an expensive gluten free surcharge before. Most places will charge a max of $2, this place charges $3.80. Absolute rip off, and to make matters worse it was some of the worst gf bread I've ever tried. Almost $20 for the worst bacon and egg roll I've ever had.

Great cafe with good coffee and friendly staff who are always up for a chat! A good selection of gluten free sweet treats too. I love that they're open so late. Getting coffee later in the afternoon can be a struggle but they're always open! Highly recommended!!

Easily the BEST coffee in Melbourne, always consistent no matter what time of day or who is behind the machine. The freshest quality ingredients, absolutely love their breakfast/ lunch menu, there’s something for everyone, even my celiac partner can dine in, no problems as staff are so understanding and knowledgeable. The staff at JD are so friendly, they really do make an effort to get to know customers and make us feel welcome every single time. One of the best cafe’s in Melbourne, consistently good coffee, good food and the best vibes. OH and if you ever spot their HOUSE MADE macarons, do yourselves a favour. The best macarons you’ll ever have 😍 ☕️🤍☕️🤍☕️🤍

Last Saturday the 1st May I celebrated by 21+1 Birthday at Raqwa café and beer garden. Prior to this mum and I went there for a lovely Sunday brunch, it was their food and the atmosphere that drew us in to deciding that this was the venue for us. And we were not disappointed! What else can I say other than AMAZING. It was their first big function since the new owners and renovation took place. Needless to say it was a success. The venue was amazing, such a hidden gem just off Plenty road. The food was so delicious, what an array of different flavors and options and the staff absolutely exceptional. From their welcoming attitudes to their above and beyond service. The owners both assured me that the night would be a success and I need not stress. Turns out they were right, not without their amazing and diligent help of course. They both helped design the amazing menu for the night, helped me and my mum decorate the venue and even continued to pump up balloons after we left because we were running late. On the night they helped my guests navigate through what each food was and even when back into the kitchen to cater for my gluten free and nut free friends and family, providing them with a fresh meal to ensure they were also able to enjoy the lovely food. For the party they provided a big projector that was presented on the brick wall on the building next to where they are located, this allowed for beautiful photos to be presented throughout the night. They also have this lovely swing towards the back of the venue that provided us with a beautiful photo backdrop. Honestly 10/10 cannot recommend this place enough, amazing venue , great staff and reasonably priced delicious food.

Wonderful service from very attentive staff; lovely setting (especially for those with young children), and a menu that flexes for those that have dietary requirements (Dairy free, Gluten free options etc). There is a market there where you can fill your own containers for things like rice, cereals, flour etc. Also they provide you with a reusable coffee vessel for take away if you have forgotten your keepcup.
