Just enjoyed a wonderful birthday lunch here. Such lovely staff who spoiled us rotten! Food was gorgeous as always, I can highly recommend the cheese cake. My mum has celiac disease and swears there is nowhere to match Marmalade.
Charming venue with a cozy vibe and a standout bakery, perfect for grabbing a treat or coffee, though be prepared for a trek to the restrooms.

We stumbled in here on a rainy day looking for some gluten free options, of which we found several !! The lunch selections were decent, and the *meal* prices were incredibly fair. The food was admittedly somewhat simple, my husband loved the leek and potatoe soup which came as part of the special. We got the impression the focus was put more on the bakery and drinks so I had to try some gluten free caramel apple crumble pie. MY GOD was it good !! However, it was nearly £6 for one lone slice. Having said that, it was surprisingly WORTH that much (but maybe just the once)
The soft drinks I must admit were absurdly priced (over £4!!) and teeny tiny. The staff seemed quite friendly, however they were very busy as the place appeared to be quite popular, particularly for drinks.
May return for the gluten free menu and affordable lunch, and will dream of the apple pie, but a little thrown off by the underwhelming meals and the high prices of other items.
I am also celiac and faced no adverse reactions whatsoever.
A cozy spot with a fresh vibe, serving up delicious vegan dishes in a beautiful atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing meal with friends.

This place is literally one of my favourite places to eat as a Coeliac. The food is out of this world and completely safe and the staff treat you like an old friend that they've known for years. If I could give 10 stars, I would. The chef even gave me his gluten free bread recipe, which is phenomenal.
A small, bustling spot that packs in a crowd, known for its cozy vibe and delicious drinks, perfect for a quick stop despite the wait.

Visited on the day of the Chester Marathon around 12ish so may have been busier than usual. It's very small inside so get's very busy as there are only a few tables. It felt a little uncomfortable trying to sit and eat when there was a queue of people snaking out of the door, standing over you as they're waiting to order.
We ordered a baked potato, hot sandwich and two baps and hot drinks. Took a little while to bring the drinks to us but we could tell they were very busy, to the point of being inundated with orders. The waitress did apologise for the wait, even offering to remake the drinks if they were not hot enough but they were fine, especially the cappuccino which was lovely. Food was nice and happy to see gluten free options on the menu. Would return.
Nice location on a high street in Chester.
Didn't take photos as I didn't think it was worth it, but now I wish I had as they would have made my point.
The food was mediocre and heavily overpriced for what was served.
I ordered a dish that was similar to an eggs royale with a slight difference and decided to go for the gluten free option. Shockingly, this meant I got a tiny slice of gluten free bread with two poached eggs on it. Oh, and the eggs were disapointingly overcooked.
The description for an item on the menu was misleading. An absence of the advertised slow grilled tomatoes on the dish served meant, as explained by a staff (possibly manager), that the bearly visible tomatoes were actually chopped and mixed in the sparingly spead avacado on the bread.
There was no warmth or even passion in the service, not even on a lovely sunny day. Not impressed!
Chill vibe with good coffee and reasonable prices, making it a go-to spot for a relaxed visit.

Friendly staff, good coffee. Pleasant surroundings. Always enjoy a visit to Pret.
Good prices. No fresh gluten free cake options is the only downside, would have thought Pret could do better in this department. Otherwise always enjoyable.
Vibrant flavors and an impressive variety of options make this spot a must-visit, perfect for anyone seeking a delicious meal!

The coffee shop is one of the cosiest places in Chester for a brew and sweet treat. The staff are fantastic, very professional and friendly. I'd visit them again - they have gluten-free sweets, which is very important for me. They have my high recommend.

Gorgeous little place, ran by the kindest staff! We took our puppy in here a couple of weeks ago, who isn't trained yet ,and they were more than welcoming; providing lots of cuddles, treats and water!
The food and drinks were also incredible! I had the gluten free brownie which was amazing!!
Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for somewhere in Chester to sit back and relax with a nice coffee and something to eat!
Lovely little place, great coffee, friendly staff and one of the best pieces of gluten free cake I’ve ever had. SUCH a treat to have nice gf cake, I nearly bought the whole lot to take home 😁
Very Disappointing!!
Arrived for brunch with my wife who is coeliac so GF is essential.
My wife ordered a meal off the menu which was identified as GF.... vegetarian haggis with tomato, hash brown, egg, beans, mushrooms and a slice of GF bread.
Meal arrived without the haggis. No mention of this from the staff, it took my wife to ask why there was no haggis. ... the main item of the meal. She was told it was because they couldn't guarantee it was GF. No mention of this when I ordered and full price charged and paid. Borderline scandalous.
Needless to say, won't be going back.
Expect fantastic portions and perfectly cooked dishes, plus delicious coffee that will have you coming back for more.

We went there last Saturday and found it an oasis of calm in the middle of a busy city. Due to a faulty train we just missed breakfast so we had a lunch instead. There were both vegetarian and gluten free options the menu. I had the Welsh Rarebit, brilliant, while my wife had a gluten free cheese sandwich with a large side salad. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. We will definitely be going again.

Was looking for a decent breakfast whilst away for a couple of days and stumbled upon Bridge Street Coffee.
Quite dark from the outside but warm and modern inside.
Lots of wood, soft lighting and really comfy chairs.
Menu full of all the usual arty stuff you see nowadays, avo, sourdough, juice shots etc.
Had the normal and veggie breakfasts and they were both superb. Gluten free option for the bread on the veggie.
Flat White was actually a Flat White rather than a watery cappuccino and the apple juice was fresh from the Juicer.
The only gripe would be the sausages which were supposed to be Cumberland but were too herby with sage in them.
Service was very good and cracking value for money.
Will deffo visit again if we're back in town. Go check em out.
