Visited 23 August with family for coffee and cake. As it was later on in the afternoon, many of the cakes were already sold out. I decided on the gluten free waffles with jam and cream, which was big enough to share and delicious. My husband had the sourdough cookie, which was also a triumph. We also had americanos, a cappuccino and an Oreo milkshake. All were fantastic. They had oat and soy milk available and could do the milkshake as vegan if needed. We had a bit of a spillage when we were there which was dealt with quickly by the staff, who were efficient and friendly throughout. The toilets were nice and clean. I would highly recommend.
Enjoy a cozy spot with an awesome selection of drinks, delicious pizzas, and tempting traybakes to satisfy any craving.

My fault but didn't see the sign on the door saying card only. Cash is king in my books. Clean and friendly place and exceptionally dog friendly. But I ordered smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on gluten free toast. The toast was un buttered and of very poor quality. Also my partners toast with his full English breakfast was rock hard. I asked for cheese on toast for my dog but they said they didn't do it, so I ordered 2 slices of toast for him which was un buttered and rock hard at the cost of £2. Totally over priced and of poor quality.
This was very disappointing as it's a lovely little place.

Breakfast was delicious. Catered for coeliac diners well too. Food hall was expensive, as expected, but quality was superb and staff were super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

The café is upstairs on the floor above the shop. Quiet, genteel oasis. Friendly service. Very clean café. Homemade and gluten free options. Milk alternatives available. I had a pot of Yorkshire tea with homemade treacle tart served with pouring/clotted cream. Nicely presented. It was a very reasonable £5.25 in total. The well stocked shop downstairs has an extensive range of goodies and gifts too numerous to mention, but all enticing, trust me! Yes, I would revisit.
A stunning spot for a classy afternoon tea experience, featuring beautiful decor, live piano music, and a delightful atmosphere perfect for special occasions.

Beautiful proper British Tea experience. Betty's had options for gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan. Many teas to select from and was able to try any of them.
Very lovely!
Great atmosphere, great staff and they allow dogs. They have gluten free beer on tap, which is great.
However, they don’t do gluten free food, the previous reviews are incorrect. The menu says “if you want a gluten free pizza ask us”, I did and they said the gluten free pizza is prepared on a flour surface and placed on the same cooking surface as the regular pizzas. They do fries, but they are cooked in the same oil as the dough balls, so aren’t gluten free. So major toms isn’t a place you can eat if you are gluten free (coeliac), but if you are just gluten reduced, you could possibly be fine.
So this is a great bar to come to for drinks or food, if you have no gluten free friends. If you are gluten free, remember to eat first or you will be hungry or sick.
