This place has great vegan treats, but I got serious complaints. First of all, the service is so slow! I've never seen baristas this slow. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but man, it's rough. There's no sense of urgency. I shouldn't have to wait 30 minutes for a muffin and a cold brew. Second, they don't make enough gluten free options. I understand that not everyone wants gf food, but considering the fact that they seem to sell out of their gf options so early, I think they'd be safe to make more.

What a perfect hang out for friends and families! I came last week with a couple friends, we had a great time playing a game from the giant selection. When I saw they had gluten free desserts I knew I had to come back with my family, as my gluten free daughter could share a treat with us while we all enjoyed trying a new game! This is for sure going to become a regular hang out for our board game loving family.

Stopped in yesterday morning to get some work done. I enjoyed some drip coffee. Great service and atmosphere. As someone who can't have gluten, I was delighted to see all of their bakery items are gluten-free. I purchased some cherry almond butter bites and peanut butter bites to-go, which were devoured by me and my co-workers. Can't wait to come back here.

Very happy with the service and food at The Wooden Spoon. I had the gluten free lemon ricotta pancakes and they were delicious. All of my questions were answered and I was confident in ordering without being nervous of cross contamination.

Stopped by the wooden spoon on our way through Kansas City. our party had the corned beef hash, the lemon ricotta pancakes, the fiesta Philly and a couple of cinnamon rolls. we found the food to be exceptionally delicious and the team member who served us was very helpful in explaining the options and helping us with our order. in addition my wife has celiac. they were able to safely accommodate her and everyone at the table was very pleased with our meal. Will definitely be back next time we are in Kansas City.

There’s plenty of seating and light, as well as several gluten free pastry options— I just wasn’t a huge fan of the fritter, it tasted a little savory to me. I also got the matcha latte with the caramel apple sweetener, which I enjoyed.

Got a quick brunch with a work buddy. We got hot and cold lattes each. The food selection is limited because it's more of a specialized coffee place than a full restaurant. They have great staff, great atmosphere and gluten free options for this keto gal. They also have sugar less or sugar free options.

Absolutely the best sandwiches and bakery! My 98 year old mother LOVES the key lime bars and cake and the almond wedding cake! Son has gluten allergy and crushes the gluten free gooy bars!

Great atmosphere and really fun vibes. I had iced coffee because it was the only thing that I felt comfortable drinking, as someone with celiac disease. If you have celiac (or probably food allergies in general) just be aware that the staff isn't knowledge about this. There are lattes that contain gluten, and shared equipment is used to prepare other items. I specifically mentioned that I needed a gluten free product and asked if iced coffee is simply poured into the cup and would not come into contact with anything. They said yes. I double checked that the soy milk was gluten free before ordering that, and it was. Then the barista used a stirrer to stir up my iced coffee after they added the soy milk. They told me it's fine because the stirrer is washed been uses. I watched them prepare a latte and noticed that "washed" between uses just means added to a cup of water. I asked them to remake my iced coffee and soy milk without stirring it, which seemed to anger the barista. A little knowledge about cross contamination can go a long way!! If you don't have food allergies, this seems like a great place to hang out and enjoy some coffee and snacks. There is a lot of variety and interesting flavor combinations on the menu.

we usually make our juice and smoothie at home but when we’re too lazy to do it, Nekter is our go to. they have the best juice selection and smoothie protein bowls selection. vegan friendly and gluten free sub available. yay me!! =^.^= was super excited to find them here in kansas. it’s like i have a little part of CA here with me. :) hehe. i love their mobile app. easiest way to order and their app is very well though off. every customization for your order is available and they have a rewards program. i usually get a free bowl or a juice and even shots once i racked up my points.

The perfect dessert spot for our Chinese-Korean family! Everyone enjoyed the dessert. Very authentic. They even had a side of mango for my son who has a dairy and gluten allergy. Owner was very welcoming and accommodating.

Delicious food with allergy friendly options— I got the chai latte with oat milk and gluten free pumpkin spice loaf. It was delicious, the interior design is absolutely stunning, there’s just not a lot of open seating on the weekends so it might be a little hard to converse! I enjoyed the outdoor area though and interacting with the passerby.

This is a charming spot tucked away in an office complex. Gluten free energy bites, nice tea selection from Hugo and nice looking coffee drinks. Patio looked lovely for warmer weather.
