No seating outside because of the threat of rain ( which did not appear). Dining room was unbearably hot - a few family members had to leave early because of the temperature.
Fish tacos were great and there were lots of gluten-free options. Corn tortillas were raw though - not fried on the griddle for 30sec which makes them better. Coleslaw and pickles were well flavored, but in general the portions were small for the price we paid $25/person for 5ppl.
The fish and chips fillet was huge though and everything tasted fantastic. Definitely worth visiting.
Savor amazing fish dishes while enjoying stunning views of the lake and boats—it's a must-visit experience!

My wife has been talking about this place since we started dating, for their gluten free fish and chips! They were clear that cross contamination was possible due to using a shared fryer, but my wife has had them before without incident.
We ordered the walleye fish & chips, the absolutely Smoked Salmon Chowder, also gluten free! And ate overlooking the bay, the experience lived up to and exceeded the expectations! That was some of the best Chowder I've ever had!
Picked up a coffee cup on our way out the door, can't wait for our next time back up north!
No gluten free breakfast options other than a trail bar, but gluten free beverages. Super long wait this morning, 25 minutes, but beautiful day to wait outside. Cute logo items like sweatshirts, tshirts, coffee beans and mugs. Variety of options for those of us who like the Starbucks and Caribou menu. Great location & view of lake is Spectacular. Indoor and outdoor options & they have a bonus pop-up shop by the lake just north of the shop.
A popular local hangout in Grand Marais, buzzing with visitors, offering a cozy vibe perfect for coffee and conversations.

Great find at Grand Marais. They have gluten free options and gluten free bread. Staff was very friendly. People are coming in and out all the time. This must be a popular place where locals meet daily for coffee and chat. Food was delicious and they have a gluten free lava cake that I ought to try next time. The food has a fair price and you are well served.
A great one-stop shop for healthy options, gifts, and essentials with quick grab-and-go meals in a clean, central location.

Great bulk section and very friendly staff. However, for a co-op, Cook County Co-op has very few single serving allergy friendly options beyond frozen foods. I have shopped at this co-op 20 or more times and I’ve not yet found a hot food option that is gluten free or dairy free/vegan. I have also not seen any gluten free or vegan baked goods in their case-it’s all the local Crosby bakery, which is cool, but other options are needed. If you have no allergies ignore this review- it’s excellent otherwise-but if you do, don’t expect to find a ton of single serving options. Glad there are there though!
