Stopped in for a quick coffee, the owner was very friendly and made a wonderful cappuccino. They have gluten free options so I will definitely be back to try those out!
A solid spot near UTA for coffee and a variety of snacks, with cozy indoor seating and a friendly vibe perfect for a quick hangout.

This probably one of the better places to get coffee and tea around the UTA campus, but their loose leaf tea options are lacking despite the diversity that their website suggests; they don't carry the Jasmine green tea here, for example. There is no student discount, for obvious reasons, so it's a little bit more expensive to buy from this brand on campus. They have indoor seating that includes a few tables right next to the storefront.
What they lack in Tea options, however, is made up through their diverse snack and bottled/canned drink options. I also can say that the service on campus seems to be a bit friendlier.
To my delight, this location also had gluten free options, like the gluten free coffee doughnuts and the gluten free pumpkin loaf, when I visited.
Overall, I would say that it is a decent option if you are on the East side of UTA and are unwilling to go off campus.
UPDATE: (10-14-22) Gluten free bread and tortillas have been added at no extra cost, WHAT A WIN! I cannot wait to finally have hot food from here when I am in a pinch.
1/21 - Still pricey per portion, SOME gluten free options exist (outside of some drinks), but they are prepackaged and not freshly cooked. Atmosphere was nice.
Opening week review: Pricey for the portions, also no gluten free options outside of some drinks :c atmosphere was nice though
Known for its jaw-dropping custom cakes and delightful flavors, this spot is a go-to for sweet treats that wow at any event.

We loved our experience with Sugar Bee Sweets for our wedding! From the tasting to our final cake, working with them was a breeze. We ended up with a three-tiered cake, 9in cake, and a dozen gluten-free cupcakes. The tiered cake was everything we wanted, incorporating our wedding colors perfectly. Our guests loved the tea and honey flavor! I'll definitely be going back to Sugar Bee Sweets!
Cozy and chill with a comfy vibe, this small boba tea spot features cute decor, cushioned seating, and plenty of outlets to recharge.

(10-17-22) A lovely, small, chill, and cozy boba tea shop. Atmosphere wise, place is pretty small, but comfy with a few tables that have cushioned seats, a mixture of fake plus some real plants, plenty of trashcans, a loveseat with cute boba drink plushies, and many outlets. Almost everything on the menu was gluten free apparently! I enjoyed the drinks, both the Jasmine Milk Tea and Taro Milk Tea, that I tried; they had good and balanced flavors while also being delightfully creamy in consistency.
10/10 would go again.
Cute and cozy spot with refreshing drinks and irresistible mochi donuts, perfect for selfies and quick visits!

Fat Straws is always great with fast and friendly service. They are more than willing to answer my questions and accommodate their drinks for my son who can't have dairy and gluten.
Food: it's fresh and there's a great variety of bagels. There is a few selections for gluten free (mostly eggs or salad, non bagels). Everything is basically customizable.
Atmosphere: I wouldn't recommend it for a group larger than 6. It is dark and quiet. There's definitely a mom-n-pop feel if that's what your into.
Staff: friendly, polite, and relatable.
Price: it's not cheap but it's not expensive. It's the right price for the quality of food.
